• Genesis - Background

  Genesis - "Gen" for short - is the "manager" of a small troupe of circus performers, though the title doesn't really reflect the scope of her duties. She oversees everything, coordinates efforts, and performs menial and maintenance tasks around the grounds, keeping things in order.
  
  What the other performers don't know is that Genesis is being quietly forced to stay at the small countryside circus against her will, having somehow ended up under the thumb of a crooked "Ringmaster." He has dirt on her which keeps her there. Sometimes she thinks she'd leave in a heartbeat if it were safe, but she also feels she can't leave until she figures out how to free everyone else there, too - even if they don't know they need freeing. The problem is that she's part of the danger that is present for everyone else.
  
  Genesis has some kind of power she can't control - a dangerous power which only activates when she's asleep. As a result of this she tries to avoid sleeping as much as possible and uses a variety of techniques to attempt to direct her dreams. As she is asleep when it is active she isn't wholly sure what it does or what she is responsible for, and she only has the word of the man blackmailing her to go on.

• Genesis - Personality

  Gen is quiet and focused. She solves problems by coming at them calmly from every angle until she finds a solution. Some people think of her as no-nonsense and think that her focus makes her unapproachable; other people regard her as sort of a "group mom." No matter what her relationship is with others, she looks out for the best interest of the folks around her and has a vested interest in making sure others don't get taken advantage of.
