Name: Magka Nicknames: Mags Species: 'Skycaller' Raptor; shows similarities to various discovered fossils. Tribe: Skycaller Class: Journeyman Shaman Age: Roughly 30; still considered young adult by tribe Gender: Female, despite lacking mammalian traits such as breasts Height: 5'4" Weight: 125 lb. Injuries: Missing her left hand and forearm up to an inch or two above the elbow. Skin: Very fine scales, with larger plates on chest, groin, and inner thighs. Scale Color: Silver-grey, dark blue, white, gold. Obvious striping and false eye-spots. Main scale colour and markings possess chromatophores and appear to change in hue. Feathers: Dark blue, white, gold. Feathers on head and tail may be slicked back against body, or become puffed up depending upon mood. Eyes: Gold, slitted pupil Faceclaim: Erika Linder Likes: Raw meat, raw fish, eggs, coffee, heat, dim light, shiny things, mirrors, feathered and scaled creatures, combat, winning Dislikes: Disrespect, cooked foods, vegetables, fruit, sweets, cold, currency, being denied Prejudices: Obvious herbivores are sometimes viewed as dull, while creatures similar to the Skycaller raptors immediately receive respect. An over-abundance of clothing is seen as covering up one's true self. Assumes that creatures behind bars are hiding; the Skycaller's concept of slavery is weak at best. Seems extremely derisive towards creatures that resemble feral monkeys. Quirks: Loves looking at herself in the mirror. (Currently) Mild kleptomania towards shiny things. Extremely short temper, but an apparent disinclination towards grudges. Fascinated by very obviously reptilian and avianesque creatures. Highly curious. Pets: A shimmering fox with an opalescent coat and intelligent sapphire eyes. |
Vision: Binocular, exceedingly keen, and is likely to be able to perceive more colors than most mammals. Able to see colour even in extremely dim light. Teeth: Front and side teeth are extremely sharp. Well adapted to mammalian prey as well as fish. Possesses rudimentary molars for ease in devouring vegetation when in her more humanoid shape. Sense of Smell: Exceptionally keen, comparable to that of a modern day bear. Hearing: Highly acute, comparable to modern day dogs. Taste: Surprisingly weak; does not seem to differentiate between many flavors. Seems equally happy to devour fresh meat or something dead for a week. Touch: Sensitivity to pain, pleasure, heat, and cold seem comparable to most mammals, though warmer temperatures are preferred. Camouflage: Due to the chromatophores in the Skycaller's skin, that breed of raptors is capable of manipulating their own colors. This is most often used during hunting, so the ambushers (traditionally male) can lie in wait for the chasers to bring the prey towards them. Most Skycallers can manipulate their bodies to show up to two colors, which are broken up between their main body hue and that of the markings they have been born with. Some (usually elder) Skycallers have been able to create mottled effects that are not dependent upon how their markings lie. Color shifting may also occur in relation to the Skycaller's emotions. This is most often illustrated by their markings changing in hue. Shamanism: Despite extensive training prior to leaving on her journeying, most of Magka's shamanistic abilities have not yet come into being. She is still somewhat immature in her craft. This is not unusual for the journeyman shamans; they are offered enough knowledge to keep themselves and their companions in good health, but encouraged to learn more from the lands they have been tasked to explore. Her skills have begun to improve noticeably. This means that Magka may express interest in learning from magic users. Magical Abilities: Shapeshifting. Healing. Aura reading. Buffs. Defense. Non-magic Abilities: Fishing, hunting, agility, spear fighting Reading/Writing: Able to read and write in the pictograms used by the Skycaller tribe, but unfamiliar with Common Languages: Skycaller tongue, fairly good English (referred to as Common), A little Spanish, and bits and pieces of Nordic. These last are due to the presence of shipwrecked survivors on the Island. |
