• Strengths and Weaknesses

  Like all cat laguz, he's very agile, with razor sharp claws. But he's weak against magic, especially fire magic, which is the natural weakness of the beast tribe.

• Appearance

  Short gray hair, gold eyes. Wears a simple tunic with a green bandanna around his neck. Shifted, he's a gray cat with black stripes, and his tail in human form also has the stripes.
  
  All beast laguz have feline ears and tails in human form. Laguz are shapeshifters, each laguz has a single animal form, and they are close to the same size as they are in human form when they shift. So Samba is much bigger than a domestic cat. Laguz can also be birds or dragons, with the birds having feathered wings in human form and the dragons just having pointy ears. All laguz have longer life spans than humans.

• Personality

  Usually cheerful and fun loving. He will often shift into his cat form at random times throughout the day just because he feels like it. It's not uncommon for him to spend an entire meeting/debriefing/etc shifted, but he only does this around those he knows well. If it's a formal event in which laguz animal forms would be a problem, he won't. Has zero tolerance for those who use the term "sub-human" and he has clawed or threatened to claw people who said it in his presence before. Enjoys joking around, and will be friendly as long as people stay on his good side.

• History

  Like most laguz of the beast tribe, he's originally from Gallia. His mother was a lion laguz, his father was a cat. He inherited his mother's gray hair and fur, but with stripes the color of his father's hair and fur. When he was a young child, a family hunting trip ended in disaster. They chased the deer across the Gallia/Crimea border on accident, and were confronted by a group of humans who accused them of stealing wild game. The humans refused to listen to their explanation and a fight broke out that ended with Samba knocked unconscious and both his parents dead. When he came to, there was a priest with a heal staff, and a human couple with a set of four year old twins. He was amazed that he had survived and that there were kind hearted humans in the world who would see two shifted cats and a shifted lion beat up on the side of the road and want to try to save them. The couple ended up adopting him, and he is still extremely close to his adopted siblings.
  
  Compared to laguz, humans tend to multiply almost like rabbits. So Samba knew it was just a matter of time. Three human youngsters call him their uncle. They used to use his cat form as a fluffy pillow when they were very small. He's good with them, and is somewhat interested in finding a mate and having "cubs" of his own, but isn't actively looking.
