With no real family to call her own Lee is very close to her twin brother, Quinn. Though they're only minutes apart in age, Quinn has always been Lee's protector, confidante, and best friend. Since fleeing Georgia and settling in Louisiana as teenagers, Lee's reliance upon Quinn has grown tenfold. He is as essential to her well-being as breathing. But love can also be a breeding ground for co-dependence.
Music and films have always been crucial to Lee's identity. Without a stagnant mother figure to guide her through her teen years, Lee took comfort in and admired the laissez-faire attitudes of French film icons like Anna Karina, Catherine Deneuve, Jean Seberg, and envied the casual, sometimes aggressive sex appeal of PJ Harvey, Shirley Manson, and Courtney Love. Also very close to her heart is classical music as her mother was a classically trained concert pianist. Her favorites include Tchaikovsky, Uchida, and Chopin, as well as modern composers such as Abel Korzeniowski.
Not just an admirer, Lee also has a talent for music. At a very young age, she was trained in piano, and after she and Quinn were turned over to the foster system she continued to learn wherever and however she could, from classes in middle school and high school to, now, occasional lessons at the local university. She also has a natural talent for singing. When she's not honing her craft, Lee expresses herself as the lead singer and pianist in a band with Quinn and a few of his friends.
Lee is a romantic down to her bones. Although she is no stranger to loss, love and other worldly endeavors are a mystery to her. As a result, she turns to not only films but also books to learn what she can about the world. You'd be hard-pressed to find her without a book glued to her palms, no doubt something penned by one of the Bronte sisters, Jane Austen, or even Nicholas Sparks.
