I'm the world of Eros amongst the never ending seas, there is a small port town, on a small island.A place where creatures of all races, shapes, and sizes can be seen talking and trading goods. Everyone from the poor, to those of high society walked amongst the market this day, it was currently the height of the trade season and everyone was in a buzz over the various foods, fine clothing, and types of Gem from all the corners of the planet.
However, in the tallest house, on the lagest hill was a girl who would soon awake to meet her destiny. Her name...was Seline Masters.
Seline awoke in a huff that morning, the storm that happened the previous night as she made her way home from the market had done horrible damage to her hair. Which now stood at odd and ends. Her usually bright green eyes that were normally filled with life, were dull and longed for more sleep.
Her blue nightgown was covered in dirt and grime. She felt as if she had been hit with a truck full of purple Gem.
As she stepped out of bed, she rubbed her eyes slowly to face the cold bland bedroom she begrudgingly called home.
Her bed had fine white silk blankets, and cotton sheets. Her headboard and bed frame were made of a strong oak, and were carved with elegant designs of gems and stones. Her walls were painted a light brown, at least bringing some colour to the room.
The floor was made of the hot (unforgivably so) grey stone that made up most homes nowadays.
Making her way over to the vanity, she observed her current state. She was reasonably unhappy with what she had observed, and after checking for morning breath even more so (it smelt like low tide). She opened the drawer of her vanity and began to brush her hair slowly, making sure to get each and every yellow hair back into its original wavy style that framed her face and neck almost like a halo.
Afterwards she put on a sleeveless maroon coloured dress and made her way down the wooden steps up the dining hall. Where she once again would dine alone.
Soon enough she'd begin her lessons for the day. Then, she'd be free for awhile. The very thought made her smile.
Elsewhere, on a small old pirate ship by the name of ' The Rosemary'. In his bed layed a man in his late 40's with shoulder length scarlet hair tied back in his ponytail. He had a strong square jaw, and a light red beard. He wore a long red overcoat, and black leather boots.
By his side, on a desk was his hat.
The man himself was captain Antony, once the most feared pirate on the seas. Yet now he layed on his death bed, struck down by a gunshot in a tavern, and dying slowly. Surrounding him was his loyal crew, all children he had taken in at a young age when they had nothing, to him they were his family and his children.

Aboard The Rosemary, the floorboards creaked at the unusual weight and activity, many pirates and acquaintances coming and going to bid farewells, each sporting their best if darkest attire in line with the gloomy occasion
"Rest now, captain... I'll see to it that all goes well, comrade, your ship shall continue to sail the seas, well beyond your days, till it sinks" appeased Calico Jack having kept vigil next to captain Blackbeard, the two pirates watching grimly at the passing of the old sea dog.
"We'll send ye off proper down t' Davis Jones locker" promised Edward Teach, known as Blackbeard, taking off his hat in respect and holding it against his chest with some formality
The two pirates kept respectful silence, Blackbeard as usual dressed the part, a proper pirate at first sight, well in line with his reputation, while his younger companion, the notorious Calico Jack, preferred a more toned down and discreet outfit and look, resembling more a merchant than a brigand.
Sir Henry Morgan also arrived; he was of noble birth and high station within the royal entourage, something clearly noticeable by the lavish attire he flaunted along with the expensive accessories which were of the highest quality.
He had grace, good taste, attention to detail and refined mannerisms. Though he was not to be taken lightly as he lead a darker double life. Captain Morgan was not one to be crossed on any dealings, for torture, slavery or death would certainly ensue, by legal means or otherwise. He commanded fear and respect on land and sea.
On this occasion, though, he was not attending an official engagement as the city's governor, rather as a renowned mercenary paying his respects to a seasoned veteran.
Sir Henry Morgan came over to bid his friend farewell, awaiting the passing of his old comrade "Do you have any final wish?" Asked Morgan in a grave voice handing over a flask of rum out of courtesy.

"It be your turn you briney dog! This will be the last time ya drink with me before I'm off to better ships with prettier ports. Now since your paying let's see who's got the nicest looking pub." Alex swaggers off the ship shouting back at the other officer. She was an oddity not only for her blue hair and lavender eyes but also she was young for such a high ranked offer. Her age usually had older men doubting her ability but her last captain would gladly have her at the helm in any storm. She did belittle the position by her chosen for to speak like a common curr, yet her men followers her orders just as snappy as the most stuff sounding officer. She carried herself proudly, walking with the stride born from years at sea and the confidence of one who knew what they knew and be damed all else.
A sharks grin never left her face for long as her eyes roved over the other ships in the harbor. Her seachest was stowed and she always had her seabag ready. She was looking for her next vessel. The captain of her previous ship, the "Yankee", had let her know that he had put in for her promotion but was turned down, while that stung she had a little slip of paper in her pocket with a name. The creaking and groaning of the ships as she pasted was outmatched by the voices of men and women on the docks. The bustle flowed around her as she kept her eyes on the ships. The sea was all she desired, these trips to land were nessicarally to go back out to sea. She grins a bit wider, well she didn't need to come to land so much as others but she sure has a sweet tooth for Rum. With that thought her eyes glass over and she turns her nose from the scents of wood, tar and sweat to food, sour beer, and piss to that of the Taverns!

Calico Jack was young, curious, adventurous if at times daring and reckless. He grew restless aboard the crowded ship and took his leave, abandoning the vessel and venturing to the markets and street shops to check the window displays, stands and stalls, buying assorted goods and provisions before entering the lively tavern.
The smells of grilled vegetables and roasted meats, along with the smoke of the hot burning her hearth was certainly a good enough reason to pay a visit to the establishment to quench his thirst and quieten the growling stomach, he needed food and this place was as good as any, the background chatter and music giving it a greater appeal

For a long moment the captain was silent, the winds on the sea and the creaking of the boat as it rocked being the only sound. Eventually though he knew he would have to speak, and so he did.
"I've been to this port many times before." He said as he then took a soft breath. "The locals speak of a strange young girl with a yellow mane of hair, a high born girl,Who throws herself off the cliffs on the eastern shore into the waters below. Find her for me and bring her here to me will you old friends?" He finished as he took a swig of rum.
"You must behave like a proper lady when attending court Seline." Spoke her instructor ms. Spindle, unaware of the girls knickname for her(ms. Spitil for the fact that she spits when she shouts. Which is frankly all the time). She was an older woman with aging grey hair trying to fade out from its natural red, her eyes were a deep sapphire blue that appeared to have dulled in age. Currently she wore traditional ladies garb, which consisted of one of those dreadfully uncomfortable bonnets, and a black dress that covered the majority of her body from her neck down.
Seline had spent all morning with her learning her usual lessons in propriety she had grown up with. Though she didn't like them by any means, they almost seemed idiotic in her own perspective as they seem to try and justify treating other human beings as property. Though try as she might, this was indeed the life she knew and was Born into.
In all honesty she was having a reasonably good day, her mother had invited her to attend court in the city with them near the eastern shore of the island. This was probably her favorite thing about being high class, she was never a matter of importance at these meetings and always snuck out. Oh how she relished in the thought of almost getting caught, but escaping just seconds before her doom.
Then there was the rush of the crisp cool salty sea air as it hit her, it felt almost euphoric. The eastern shore was the last place she truly remembered feeling free. She always felt like the sea was her home anyway.

Alex steps into the Tavern. The name above the door had the image of an excited goat rearing up at a woman who was gasping as something below. This place in addition to all its normal aromas had the scent of grilled vegetables, not that Alex cared for veggies to much but the thought of a good fish with a tankard of ale sounded just what she was lookin' for.
She gazed around the common room, plenty of tables with not a bad amount of crowed inside. As for the look of the crowed, well some she could tell had lived a hard life scraping by earning what was needed to move on, others had it easier but no less salty. This Tavern was to close to the docks not to be chocker blocked full of Seamen. She snorted at her own lame joke. Asher eyes roved over the faces looking for a good spot to eat a young handsome face caught her eye. Dark hair, darker eyes and dressed well for his rank he wasent her type but instead she knew that face. She didn't think he had noticed her quite yet so she stepped right over to his table with her trademark grin.
"Calico Jack!" She nearly shouted, "Well here is a man I didn't expect to be seein' for quite some time! I do believe that the last time we mets we were trading blows, but all can be forgiven over a tankard or two." She winks and sits down next to the man. Most men she sat eye level with but sitting down next to Calico she had to look up a fraction, and with his dark brooding eyes he always look like he was glaring down at you. She had long lost her fear for simple glares to intimidate her so instead she pats him on the back and waves over one of the tavern girls.
"Two tankards of the house ale and what do you have in the likes for fish meals today?" The girl rattled off their daily specials, two fish, one pork and of course a hot stew. "I'll be havin' the snapper what 'bout you Calico?" She knew she was beein' a bit more friendly then she should be based off how well of 'friends' they are but she knew he had some connections to the kind of ships she was lookin' for to get on next.

Calico looked at the serving maid with a forced polite smile "I'll have the same and put it all on my tab, hers and mine" instructed Calico.
Once the maid was gone, Calico's attention returned to Alex, dropping the friendly easy going charade. He frowned at Alex's over familiarity, despite their animosity, which made him grow somewhat suspicious
"Captain Calico Jack to the likes of you... scoundrel" corrected Calico examining the woman and glancing at her sweaty clothes, her tired looks and daring attitude, feeling a hint of pity which explained why he was footing the costs
"If I recall well ... last time we crossed paths two seasons ago... your small ship ended up sunk and you and your captain surrendered at my command. I am still trying to figure how you managed to resist so long, barely armed, on that old small ship that was under manned and in terrible need of repairs, I'll give it to you, you've got skill and guts to try to take on someone of my calibre" half complimented Calico remembering the event well
"I spared you from becoming slaves on account of acquaintance with your captain, Johnny Boots, provided I saw neither of your faces again, wench. I didn't expect to be seeing you for quite some time indeed. Why then would you dare come to seek me out, Alex?" Frowned Calico demanding her motives for such approach.
"Seeking work after getting kicked out of your ship again? Or walking away because you're tired of being everyone's lackey?"Queried Calico with a quizzical look expecting some answers
"I know her well enough, lady Seline Masters, she is a young, well mannered woman who loves reading and swimming. She often spends days at a time at my place reading undisturbed at my extensive library, I have never found such an avid reader at such young age." Mused Henry Morgan impressed at that
"Her mother, lady Rosalind Masters, is attending court and dinning with me afterwards. She requested to bring the daughter too so we can discuss her education and future. I will try to find opportunity to bring her to you, if she attends and if she consents to accompany me" promised Sir Henry Morgan putting his hat back on now that he had supplied the details, intending to honour the man's final wish to see the girl.
"For now, rest, it will be taken care of" nodded Morgan soothingly

She was here for information, that was it. Well, perhaps a quick drink wouldn't hurt either. Ry moved through the swinging tavern doors with calculated steps, each movement sure and purposeful. Her orange amber eyes roamed the inner workings of the tavern, catching site of several rougher looking patrons as well as the usual drunkards, until her hues met the tavern keeper, who was amusing himself with running a damp cloth over well-used glasses in a vain attempt to remove every smudge.
Sliding her caboose onto a high bar stool, she focused on this man, until he became aware of her presence. She hated to waste words, when a gaze would do just as well. Clearing his throat a bit uncomfortably, the man turned to her, leaning both hands on the countertop. "Er... what can I do ya fer, missy?" He asked, clearing his throat. The quirk of a smile lifted a corner of Ry's lips as well as one eyebrow before she gave in to ease his discomfort. "Merely here for information." She said, voice containing a lilt that spoke of foreign lands. "I seek a girl with blond locks. High born. I want her name, and where I can find her." She did not add why she sought the information, she was here to buy, not sell. Setting a small pouch of coins on the table she waited, not holding her breath. Too often these days tavern keepers didn't deal in information, thinking the trade too dangerous. While the tavern keeper hemmed and hawed, trying to come up with something deserving of the money, Ry Sent her gaze once more around the room.
Two people, a man obviously well acquainted with piracy, perhaps infatuated with the occupation, and a somewhat bedraggled woman, deep in conversation. While their conversation was not of great importance to her, she liked to take stock of those around who might either pose a threat, offer competition, or perhaps made use of - either forcefully, compulsively, or even (loathe was she to think it) perhaps by befriending. She had friends, but those were rare, and could as easily offer betrayal.
"Mose nobility live up on the hilltops miss.." The voice of the tavern keeper broke through her thoughts, and she slid her gaze back to him. He swallowed. "I dun know if any of dem haves yellow hair, but... there's a man 'ho comes here lots that sometimes deals wif dem lot." He shrugged, then reached for the money. Another eyebrow raised, and Ry beat him to the pile, removing only two of the coins for his grasp, placing the rest back in a small pouch at her waist.
"I'll seek him out then. When will he be here, and what does he look like?" She placed three more coins back on the table. This information was readily meted out, and Ryiah was glad to find she needn't wait long for said man to arrive. The hour was growing late, and so she took a seat near the corner, tapping one finger on the table as she sipped her whiskey sparingly, in wait for her next intended target of information.

Alex's eyes flash and her teeth grind as he gave her a disgusted look and proceeded to spew filth at her.
"Captain is it? I always knew you would kill to get that spot for it be the only way you would get it. Your ship was an ungodly looking floating tub and by the time we did end up scuttling our ship yours wasent far from the waterline either!" She snarled right back. His ship was superior to theirs at the time but the "Whippet" was a good ship and didn't deserve his slandering!
And where did he get off being so flippant with her! Sell her as a slave BAH! If he had tried that hed be peg leg Jack! She points a finger at him.
"It'd be First mate Alex to you, you stuck up pigeon! And nay I wasent kicked off," her voice drops to a nearly counsels snarl, "Nor am I lazy! I have a letter from Captain Shanks attestin' to my skills. Not that I need to prove anything to ye." She leaned back and crossed her arms over a mended black vest. She didn't like to dress fancy besides adding all that lace and frills only drew attention to her bust and figure. She detested that.
"Though I am lookin' for a new ship to sail upon. I saw your slick face in here and knew any ship you spoke about I should steer clear of." The tavern girls can back with their two drinks and promptly scuttled off from a glance by Alex.
She reached for one and raises it to Captain Calico. "To those left at sea" a traditional toast when you had nothing nicer to say. She guzzeled down half of the cold bitter brew before setting the drink down. The snarky grin back on her face reveling a more than necessary amount of sharp teeth. "And what brings your albatross ridden, weevil riddled ship and self to this port anyway?"

Eventually it would come time for her to set aside her books, and attend court with her dear mother. She was rushed to the carriage rather quickly, the thing itself was a garish deep rouge. It was decorated with intricate golden patterns that reflected tales of merfolk and magic. The inside was covered from floor to ceiling in a red velvet as well. The driver quickly activated the generator by igniting the purple Gem within it.
Without another word they took off. Her mother sat across from her in what she perceived to be an angered silence. The woman across from her looked nothing like her in most respects. She was a rather short woman who was a bit on the rounder side. She had scarlet hair that she always wore up in a bun, and ungodly amounts of makeup upon her face.today she wore a pink dress with one of those horribly uncomfortable cages underneath. Though this woman was known for being crude and unusual, she loved Seline dearly.

Calico Jack smiled broadly at her question and chuckled. "By Neptune that you're as bold and daring as they come" chuckled Calico "I came to collect wealth and glory and a good dose of adventure, cleaning out foes from the seas" explained Calico briefly
"Lady Luck is clearly infatuated with me lately, bringing over a very capable first mate without captain or ship whilst making me a captain of many ships without a chosen first mate yet" smiled Calico Jack
"Listen, Alex, frankly... when it comes to you... in particular... I need no letters from anyone to attest to your skill, woman. I trust my own experience at the end of your sword to wager I rather have you fighting beside me than against me." assured Calico placing her letter of reference letter, unsealed, in front of her uninterested. "If you need more fancy parchments of those to further your career, I will give you one myself and get Morgan to hand you one too, help you on your way" offered Calico in a friendlier tone "But.. it would be a wasted opportunity...." trailed off Calico Jack
"Captain Antony, our oldest pirate is on his deathbed already, his passing away is but a matter of time. I came to pay him my respect, like good comrades do. Furthermore, whilst here, I met with Captain Morgan and came to learn that Sir Henry Morgan has been appointed viceroy by the king himself and the only governor of these lands and islands. He is the king's personally appointed ambassador no less. Captain Morgan has gone into legitimate business since then and left me all the darker side of his affairs as his inheritance, which accounts for me owning many ships along with many slave trading businesses that I continue to run, among others, but, unlike Sir Henry Morgan, not anyone will do for me. I'm very selective with the crew I allow to sail on my vessels and under my flag. I pick only the very best, the most skilled, loyal and ruthless there is to be had. You certainly fit the bill, if you can take my orders, I need a second in command that I can trust and rely upon now that Morgan is not going to join me any more..." explained Calico Jack leaning back and studying her reaction to his offer
"The downside to my offer are the landlovers, you will be expected to accompany me and attend the occasional feast and ball with the governor, Sir Henry Morgan, along with all the frills and burdens of the high born ladies... from time to time..." added Calico Jack being upfront about it

When it finally became clear the man, Morgan, was not coming to the tavern this evening Ryiah stood and sent a annoyed glance toward the tavern keeper, who'd long ago pocketed her change. There was no time to waste in waiting longer, and so with a last glance at the pair in deep discussion nearby. She'd overheard a bit of their conversation, the name Captain Morgan, and the fact that those involved had parted ways. This caused her to decide they'd likely not have information she needed either, and thus moved swiftly out of the tavern.
Having her own resources, various lines of information, she knew of the court and that most everyone who was anyone attended the balls, parties, and other various shenanigans that occured among the nobility. These things Ry was all too familiar with. Wasting no more time she swiftly hailed a small coach and took passage toward the upper city, taking leave when she was as near as could safely be.
Next, moving on silently booted feet, she crept the last distance upward to the walled exterior. Deftly she found her way up the side of the wall, and along the top for a short distance until she came to a portion where a large tree over hung it. Here she pressed herself back, against the dark wood, concealed where she had a near perect view of the roadway leading to court. Carriages would have to pass by, and many on a hot day would have their windows open, affording her a view of the occupants. Armed with the knowledge of Morgan's appearance as well as that of the blond she searched for, she settled down to wait, hoping she'd not been too late. Likely most had already arrived, yet she had a chance to see them leaving.

As Alex sat there listing to Calico she first was mollifed by his complaint. He wasent know to toss those out on a whim. The as he continued her eyebrow raised. Of course she was interested in this offer, she probably could make this into a Captains job. She wrinkled her nose when he spoke about having to dress up and attend balls. She joined a ship when she was knee high dressed as a boy untill her natural assets no longer let that farce continue. Though there was a small voice in her head that said it could be fun but she squashed that quickly. She took another sip of her drink while appearing to think it over.
"First off I think yer sellin' yerself short callin ya Captain. With a fleet of ships under your command I do believe that is the title of a Commodore yer lookin' at." She smirks as she states that. " As for yer offer" she rolled her letter on the table with her fingertips trying not to accept it to quickly. "I have to admit Sir Henry Morgan played his card well, going over to the comfy life while still keeping his less.. afflicted associates" she chuckled at that. "And you gaining all his command I must commentate you on that. And aye I'll take yer offer. I don't do slavers though. I'll sooner dress in one of those fancy poofy dresses with the waist cinchers for the rest of me life before I run one of those wretched wallowin' barges." She knew he made a good deal on his Slavers but to her they just weren't ships more like floating coffins, slow heavy, noisy, unwieldy, repugnant things.
She turned her sharp gaze back from the hearth with the noticable red gem back to Captain Calico. "I'll do it. Even yer pointless land stints. Just so long as yer aware I'll be spednin' most my time out raiding not sittin' pretty fer ya." It was at this point the timed tavern girl brought their food. She quickly set them down and left not even offering if they need a new drink, which Alex did. But the aroma of the cooked fish, some fresh vegetables and even roasted potatoes! Had Alex practically drooling on the spot. Ship food keeps the body moving but food like this can feed the soul.
"If this be settled enough fer now I think we should turn to what type of ships yer fleet now be consistin' of. And enjoy this tasty lookin' meal you've so kindly paid fer."

"I need capable raiders, not pretty flower pots" nodded Calico in agreement. "I want the lass that braves furious storms with a steady hand at the helm" assured Calico "And I like to feed my captains well, Alex." Assured Calico digging into his travel bag to take out a black hat, dusting it with the back of the hand, sliding it forward, offering it to her
"For the most part you're on your own, so expect no backup, use the resources you've got as best as you can and make them last. You make it your task to raid those ports, cities, villages and islands that refuse my generous trading offers so as to weaken competition or force their compliance" smirked Calico
"Also...you may be required to escort my other ships to attack foes while they pursue my slavers in order to secure the cargo. At various locations you will receive your next list of targets to escort or attack accordingly" explained Calico.
"Your ship is docked next to The Rosemary, its name is Golden Arrow. It has a full crew already selected and ready to sail away, though you're free to take more men and dismiss some as you see fit. I just finished buying the provisions for it. It's a lighter vessel, fast and sturdy, perfect for raids. This is your first target" muttered Calico sliding a parchment towards her with an island written on it Dominica
"Now... more pressing matters... Sir Henry Morgan is throwing a feast tonight as we speak and you and I have to attend right away, so go, wash and change attire. There's enough satin and silk dresses of all sizes and jewels to match to flaunt your beauty and look the part in the chest you're going to find in my quarters, end of the bed. I will make a fine damsel out of you yet" muttered Calico Jack with a sly cheeky smile
"We're going to entertain a noble mother so Morgan can take the daughter out, unnoticed" explained Calico.
"If the young damsel refuses, Morgan will let us know, in that case, you and I are kidnapping the girl by force and taking her to The Rosemary instead, a favour for an old friend... Sir Henry Morgan will then create diversion to buy us time, he will stay behind with the mother and play the surprised, offended party, scrambling to intervene. Expect the army to give chase to your ship which will serve as diversion" explained Calico laying down plan A and B
"You've got less than an hour" remarked Calico taking out an hourglass and tipping it, slamming it on the table
Sir Henry Morgan patiently awaited for the two high born damsels to get there and find time and opportunity to talk with the girl more privately, whilst the mother was kept distracted and busy with music, live entertainment, countless sculptures and paintings, a very busy ballroom and a lavish five course meals, followed by ample selection of teas, coffee, treats and sweets
Sir Henry Morgan smiled broadly welcoming all the arrivals personally, keeping a close eye for the youthful woman and her mother. He would let the latter enjoy the lavish feast while offering rare books to her daughter during their small talk, books which might catch the girl's attention and keep her busy, while waiting for Calico Jack to arrive, determined to take lady Saline Masters on-board the Rosemary willingly or otherwise

Command of my own ship. This has been a lucky day indeed! Alex grins as she takes the offered hat and with a slight flourish sets it upon her head.
"Aye I can be that and more fer ya Captain." She winks thinking about what she could do with a Captains share of plunder! "Being on me own is how I work best. As for the other duties ye may require of me and my ship." She shrugs, "I can't raise much against that." She fingered the slip and smirks. Warm seas, a steady breeze, plenty of merchant ships and the best rum around she couldn't of easily of done worse. Her grin slips from her face as he continued.
"Whut! Why you venomous..!!" She starts to snarl but the slammed hourglass stops her short. Instead she grabs the entire fish and opens her mouth and eat it whole, head, tail and all. She steps off smartly making her way to the fat owner behind the bar.
"I'm taking one of yer girls to assist me dress. My last one didn't make my voyage and as ye see I had to make due without." Without an answer from him she slams a coin on the table and grabs the nearest girl who just so happened to be the frightened serving girl. "Yer comin' with me." She grabs her as they ascend the stairs to Calicos room Alex muttering curses under her breath. When she flipped over the chest's lid they became more livid. "Damn that man! Damn him to Jones locker without hope of forgiveness!" He wasent kidding the chest was full of frills, lace, binders, proofers, silk, satin, bows and everything she despised. She let out a growl that had the slip of a girl beside her whimpering. She grabbed something that was dark blue, then turned to the girl.
"Get me a basen of hot water. Step to girl and quit yer tremblin' I ain't about to bite ye yet" the girl quickly scrambled out and Alex sighed again. "Bloody men!"
50 minutes and much fussing, pushing, pulling and snarling Alex descended the stairs nearly unrecognizable from her previous garb. Her unruly hair had been combed even dyed! A lavender color it was now worn in a simple bun pinned in place by black pearls, and her long bangs framed her face. Her dress was a stunning shade of midnight blue setting off the copery tint of her skin. The neckline was far to low in her opinion, showing all her shoulders the top of her back and much of her ample cleavage. The corset made her waist taper in to give her the appearance of the hourglass Calico had on the table. Her most disliked part was the bustle making her rear seem to stick out a cable length behind her. The dark blue was set off by cream lacing around the top of her dress, in rivets down the bustle and even around the ends of her sleeves. Her eyes were set off by her even applying rouge to her face. The black pearls in her hair were matched by the string around her neck and dangling off her ears. The only thing that set it off might of been the gold earring in the top of her right and left ears.
"Pick yer mouth off the deck and move those eyes up or you'll be seein' the back of yer head next." She had gotten a glance of herself in the mirror before descending and while she didn't recognize herself it didn't give him the right to gaze at her so!

"By Neptune, what a mermaid you make, a proper bewitching princess of the sea with such refined looks and very noticeable womanly curves. Your clothes didn't do your beauty or fine figure any justice" complimented and teased Calico Jack storing the hourglass back into the bag
"Right on time too, come on, the carriage is already waiting, madame" urged Calico Jack leading the way, his eyes fixed on her revealing, enticing clothing.
"Ladies first" remarked with an elegant bow, holding the door open and helping her into the carriage with gallantry, taking a good look at her front to back, head to toes very satisfied with the change
"Mind me not I'm simply enjoying first class views, my lady" smirked with a cheeky grin, waving the driver to make haste to the governor's palace

Alex flushed from checks to the roots of her hair, partially from embarrassment and part from anger. She knew wearing such frivolous clothing turned men's brain to mush but it had to be the corset restricting her breathing to cause hers to flounder for a good retort.
"Yer just a dressed up letch." She snapped and tossed her nose up in the air. She had seen fancy ladies do that often when something offended them. She refused his hand as she stepped up into the horseless carriage. "I'm not an invalid I can get myself into a carriage without ye." Her anger stilling her tongue to anything better. After he enter the carriage she startled him by the very wide, very pointy, very shark like grin on her face.
"Do ya think they will like me smile?" She dropped the smile a bit and continued on. "Maybe should I try to talk like one of those stuffy old ladies with an egg in her mouth." She emulated his own accent. "Am I to swoon and flutter and whatever else these pointless harpies do." She tossed her hands in the air then narrowed her eyes and snarled at him. "If yer expectin' for me to act as yer prize and let ye parade me around to be seen ye best be getting that out of yer fat head now. An' if yer hand goes any place I swear I'll chomp it off right then." She emphasized by chomping her teeth.
This man thinks he can push her like a cross current he had best find sharks swim up currents easily! She crossed her arms under her bust and glared at Calico.
She did begrudgingly admit the man did clean up nicely. The tight pants showed off well trimmed legs and his coat showed of the boardness of his shoulders with a slim vest underneath with just a bit of white ruffle at his throat.
Quickly the carriage stopped at a grand house. Lavish flowers providing much color against the marble archway that led to an elaborately illuminated house. Alex's eyes nearly popped out of her head at all the ornate work she passed while Calico, chuckling at her, escorted her farther inside. She couldn't help but think that looting this place would be fantastic! She may not know ladies talk but she knew that the rug she walked on was quite expensive, more so then that porcelain figure but not as much as that gold gilded and worked mirror! She managed to keep her mouth closed but her eyes were skipping about everywhere.

The road was ruff beneath the wheels of the carriage as it rolled down the road. The silence was thick between the two women as the rode along. Conversation between mother and daughter had become a very distant memory in recent years. Memories of a tall blond man that walked away from them very much part of that memory.
The sun was beating down on them through the windows, creating a calming warmth in the air that put Seline halfway between consciousness and unconsciousness. Her brows furrowed when the carriage suddenly jolted to a stop. This apparently disturbed her mother as well, for the woman shot up in her seat in suprise as she was awoken from a long nap. After peering out the window, the older lady turned to her daughter with a small smile "it's your first day in court, are you nervous?"
She asked her calmly as she took the half asleep girls hand in her own as if offering comfort.
Seline couldn't help but smile, when her mother did speak now and again. It was always a matter of importance. So after flashing a smile of her own, she spoke "hardly."
To which the lady would reply "that's my girl ."

Sir Henry Morgan personally came to meet and greet Calico Jack, first and foremost, as well as his beautiful young companion, surprised the young daring and dazzling man, a well known womanizer, would bring a woman to the event.
He knew Calico to be far too adventurous to consider entertaining a woman and, the way he still spoke of them, belittling them at every occasion and opportunity, it gave Morgan the assumption that Calico would indeed attend alone. Yet when the time came, he actually brought a young unknown woman with him, after all, curiosity getting the better of Sir Morgan who was keen to meet such an acquaintance
"Ahh miss... welcome to the event, it gladdens me greatly to see Sir Calico JackSworth of Pont-de-Ter finally settle in life at last. A pleasure to make your acquaintance" greeted Sir Henry Morgan examining the girl with attention
"My lord governor, Sir Henry Morgan, allow me to introduce my beauty, her name is Alex, she is my second in command and the new captain of the Golden Arrow" clarified Calico suffocated at the pomposity of hearing his full name
"Oh I see, that explains... well... miss Alex, welcome to my home... make yourself comfortable" smiled Morgan coming to greet lady Seline Masters and her mother.
"Oh welcome to my home, I trust you will have an enjoyable time, madame and mademoiselle" smiled Morgan escorting the woman inside and letting them enjoy the food and music, walking by the younger girl personally
"I hear you remain an avid reader, I would love to show you some exclusive, rare books and paintings" offered Sir Henry opening the door to the grandiose library, letting the mother wander about to her heart's content.
"I wish to have a quiet word with you, lady Seline, if you have no objections..." asked Sir Henry opening the balcony doors that had a perfect view of the bay and the ocean

The wall was definitely an uncomfortable place to have to wait for long. Despite this, and the tree branch that dug into her back for over a half hour, Ryiah had not lessened her vigilant watch as the carriages pulled into the palace area. In several she caught sight of interesting faces, the first was the same two she had seen at the tavern - though much more cleaned up, as far as she could tell from their upper bodies, through the windows. Why were they here? she narrowed her gaze in thought, biting her lower lip as she tried to puzzle it out.
Not long after the second noteworthy carriage arrived, this one holding two people, an older woman and a younger one, blond. Her gaze intensified as the carriage moved on, pulling to a stop. As the two were escorted inside Ryiah would nearly have sworn this was the one she searched for. Now... how to get close to her?
Mulling several ideas over in her head, she discarded most of them quickly enough. She was fairly certain that if she had the garb, she would pass nicely for a lady of the court, after all, noble blood helped with such things. But she had no such clothing with her, and nee as well she might stick out as a foreigner, which would also ruin her plan. No... best to wait (oh how she hated the idea) until the girl came back out, and make her move then.
Settling back against the tree once more, making sure its shadow concealed her as well as could be, she prepared to wait. Her own outfit was well suited to her current plan, and at least afforded a bit of coolness to pass through, the neck, a v-cut dipping to show a hint of her curves beneath. The heat caused small beads of sweat to well on her temples despite the shade and she muttered a curse in a soft breath.
