((What is this?
))The Shooting Star is a tavern RP set in a dreamscape, essentially allowing any character capable of some form of sleep to access it from any time or place, even from different existences; and so, any character can potentially interact with any other character. The entire thing basically exists in the mind of Novalyyn (the character), but uses the psyches of visitors to fit to their expectations - thus, languages are translated according to the intended message (occasionally with some errors on difficult concepts), requested food and drink can be given even if not known, etc. It also allows people to come and go as they please, RPing without necessarily having to commit to a plot with one another.
There are those who believe we can visit other places in our dreams: foreign worlds, foreign times. There, we can experience wonders unquestioningly. But dreams always fade away upon our return to the waking world, lost to memory forever.

How one gets there doesn't matter. What matters is that there is a multi-floor building with a classic - perhaps even old-fashioned - wooden structure and a sign that declares it to be "The Shooting Star Inn & Tavern." Inside it's even more quaint; solid wooden tables and chairs, pleasant warmth generated by a cheerful fire burning in a stone hearth, and light provided by gently flickering lanterns on the tables and hanging from the ceiling rafters. It seems there is a small assortment of individuals present at any given hour, pleasantly talking among themselves while eating or drinking various dishes.
And then there was Novalyyn, the green-eyed, silver-haired woman who typically remained behind the counter. With her long locks pulled back in a high ponytail, it's also easy for anyone to see the pointed shape of her ears. She looked to be about middle-aged, and her calm face with its relaxed smile seemed to hold an infinite kindness. Now and then, she could be caught rubbing at the blue pendant that hung around her neck.
Torrgyn shuffled glumly across the gravel path with his sack of plundered draped across his sore back. While moaning he gently and slowly opened the tavern's doors breathing in the warm air. He nearly collapsed when his muscles relaxed because of the warm fire. His mood lightened just a little bit as he looked around. "Nice lil' place ain't it now?" Torrgyn grunted to his partner which was still outside gathering his things.
Irven was his name. A tall, light-hearted fellow that was quite the optimist. A complete opposite of Torrgyn. "So where to I acquire us some beds, hmm?" He said looking down at his dwarves partner with a clean English accent.
"Right over there." Torrgyn responded pointing the edge of his waraxe at the lady behind the counter. Irven nodded at the lady a he approached her with quick, long strides. "Uh, how do you do?" He asked politely with a smile.
"It's kinda heav-" the dwarf was about to respond before his partner waved a hand. "I wast asking you, you mumbling excuse for a dwarf."

Novalyyn quirked an eyebrow, just a little, more because it was unusual for multiple individuals to come in at once than anything. She set down the glass she was polishing and smiled at the man who approached just the same, and stifled a laugh at the way the pair interacted.
"Quite well, thank you," she said, her voice soft, and yet clearly audible. "Shall I assume you need a place to put your things? Or are you just passing through to fill your bellies and wet your throats?"

a red curly haired women with green eyes entered the tavern. her red cloak was burned along with her blue dress. she stumbled at hit the floor with her knees her hands catching before her face hit the floor.
'' water please.'' her voice was cracked ,and dry. she couldn't see straight every thing spun in to different colors. her eyes began to un focus. she reached in to her dress pocket , pulling out some gold . '' i would like a room , and food to.''

Novalyyn looked over toward the door as a woman stumbled in and held up a hand to the man who had previously addressed her.
"Forgive me. A moment, please," she said shortly, already on her way to to the half-collapsed woman and carrying a glass of water. The elfin woman offered a hand as support along with the glass and asked, "Are you alright, miss?"
Hopefully the woman's state was just some carry-over from a nightmare, rather than the reason she'd showed up.

''i am fine really just a rough year'', she mumbled tiredly. she took the glass gulping the water , and then the hand. keeping a sloppy hold on the glass nearly dropping it. ''a really really rough year.'' her voice sounded young with a raspy tinge to it. '' thank you kindly miss''.
"No trouble," Novalyyn said kindly. "I just want to make sure you're okay."
She looked the the woman over again, concern clear in her eyes, and then smiled. "I'll have someone come help you, alright? Feel free to ask anything - whatever it is you'd like to eat, and anything else you need, alright?"
The silver-haired woman had hardly finished speaking when what was either an effeminate young man or a boyish young woman appeared by the pair, flashing Novalyyn a pout before focusing on the other woman. Whatever it was, its eyes were flatly black and it's short hair was wild and fiery red. As Novalyyn returned to the counter to finish her business with the man who'd come in before, the red-headed thing offered a hand with a cheerful smile.
"Hi! I'm Jzin. I can help you to a table, if you'd like."

'' yes ,please do''. she took his hand . '' do you know anyone that repairs cloaks , i would like to have it repaired. i threw my gold could you retrieve it ,and set me up a room for a couple of days. i am sorry i know it is a lot to ask. also i would like what ever is the easiest to retrieve for a meal.''
"Not a problem!" it said, with such a big, honest smile that its eyes seemed temporarily reduced to lines. It kicked up the gold with apparently bare toes and caught it with its free hand, stuffing it into its pocket for the moment before resting that same hand on the woman's shoulder to help steady her. "We should be able ta fix your cloak here, we've got plenty'a rooms available, an' no dish would be any trouble. Is there any kinda food you really like? Fruit's my favorite."
''pears i am mildly obsessed with them. also is there any one able to find me a new dress in the morning i do believe this one has met it's end .'' her vision seemed clear for now. . the part of where her back was is ripped, the bottom had several holes. i do thank you and the miss very much''
"Sure, Mama should be able to take care of that."
It lead her to the nearest table, moving no faster than the woman pushed. When she seemed reasonably stable, it released her, watched a moment to be sure she wouldn't fall, and said, "I'll go get them pears."
The being disappeared into the kitchen, returning not long after with a plate of pears, a knife in case the woman wanted to cut them, and another glass of water. As it set them down on the table, it happily stated, "Here ya go! Anything else?"

'' no thank you , you have done enough . if there is any gold left you may have it , if not i should have some more in the cloak .. take what you like''. she seemed relieved and happy. '' i do apologize for my appearance.''
Jzin waved off the apology. "We've had lots worse. Don't worry about it!"
It glanced back to Novalyyn, then around the room, and finally sat down by the woman, propping its head up with one hand. "Soo... Where ya from? Is it nice? D'you get ta do fun stuff there?"

she laughed picking up a pear, she then took a bite. munching slowly she swallowed, '' my aren't you curious one, don't ever lose that. i am from far away. it was a beautiful place filled with birds, animals all faye kind, and humans to. i did have fun there, but i also worked there learning hard lessons growing up. do you believe in fairies?''
The young gender-ambiguous being giggled. Following another glance around the room, it ducked under the table. Moments later, a small, filmy-winged creature popped up. It was tiny, a strange mottled purple, and not quite human in its proportions - but it had the same bright red hair and black eyes, and smiled just like the person there just a moment before. It giggled again and lounged on the table.
"Maybe."
"Maybe."
'' impressive little one , you do look wonderous .'' she smiled brightly meaning every word. she continued to eat. ''so do you like it here? what is this place like?'' she asked glancing around before turning in to the size of a mouse ,and pulling out her wings.
The pixie - whom it was still impossible to assign a gender to, now even more because its lack of clothing also showed a distinct lack of genitalia - let out a squeal upon seeing the woman shrink down to about its size and sprout wings. Although it was not truly any sort of fae itself, that was its preferred form.
"Yes, it's nice here," Jzin said crawling quickly over to the woman to inspect her with gleeful, innocent curiosity. As it moved around her, it continued to say, "Momma keeps it nice and tidy. Sometimes strange people come in, an' some of 'em can be mean, but most people are nice."

'' that is good ''. she watched jzin curiously tilting her head. she gently flapped her ivory wings with silver swirls. she smiled at the pixie child '' i have to say it is nice to let lose ones wings. most places have a strict no wing policy..''
At the flapping of the faerie's wings, Jzin giggled again. It wasn't sure if she was naturally a fae, or just preferred the form as it did, but it was still the first time in its personal existence that it had come to face such a creature.
"Momma don't mind. She's a dragon, after all," it said, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. "She just doesn't wanna scare people off. She says it's better to introduce things slowly, or not at all."

'' that is good it is hard to find such nice people, or creatures. what type of games do you like.'' she asked jzin interested in the games that are played now a days.
