Hello everyone!
I have a vision. I want to make an actually good-looking and accurate Elder Scrolls dream on Furcadia. Though I lack resources and skill.
What I offer to you is this. I am making a lore-friendly, accurate roleplay on Furcadia based around the world of Tamriel.
"What region of Tamriel are you planning to make, and what era?"
I am making Cyrodiil. It is the heart of the empire, and something worthy to make. I'm also making the time period between the Oblivion Crisis and the coming of the Last Dragonborn, somewhere around the beginning of the Fourth Era.
"Why not Skyrim? Everybody loves Skyrim!"
This is true, that most gamers like Skyrim. However, some people don't associate Skyrim with the Elder Scrolls, not even knowing which game series it belongs to. Why indulge that? Cyrodiil would be the best to do, and it would perhaps introduce the lesser informed to the series as a whole.
"What's the plot?"
We don't have too much planned out except the bare bones of it. Basically, it's the beginnings of the Great War, struggling ties with the Thalmor, etc. We may also have the Dark Brotherhood take on a bigger role in the main story, but everything's a bit hazy right now.
"Can I be [so-and-so]?"
That depends. If the character didn't live in that time period, no. For example, Uriel Septim or Martin Septim perished at the ends of the Oblivion Crisis respectively. They won't be there, nor anybody with Septim in their blood. The Last Dragonborn or Ulfric Stormcloak haven't been born yet too. They won't be there either. However, if you want to be a Daedric Prince, that would be fine, since they're immortal. You can't be an Aedra/Divine or Sithis though, since they've never shown themselves to mortals. They will be obviously mentioned, but nobody shall be playing them. It's like God himself descending from the heavens to take part in mortal affairs. Isn't that a bit ridiculous? OCs are obviously welcomed, as long as you can adapt them to the time period.
"How can I sign up for this? It sounds AWESOME!"
Contact me in Furcadia or reply to this topic. The current hangout dream until we can make the actual overworld is The Mind of Pelagius. You can find it in Imaginarium, Southwest and right of Orange Hall, in between Gotham and the Land of Rayneth. Hope we see you there!
