Hey guys! I haven't involved my two new slightly deranged and slightly malevolous Others, Marchesa and Baen, in a High Fantasy group roleplay yet, and not at the same time, so this should be interesting.

"There is a land.

A lush land, full of forests and woods and woodlands. A kingdom could be a good name for it, if not for the apparent lack of kings in the general vicinity, if we went by the word of the inhabitants of the many towns and settlements that populate it.
(I am quite certain there is a king. Somewhere. No one has really bothered checking.)

In this land there is a village. It is a very traditional village. The streets are cleaned from time to time, the houses are quaint, and the murder ratio is suprisingly high. In fact, so traditional is this village that it would become the starting host of an adventure right on midsummer's eve.

It even started in a tavern, where two individuals of note -one which, already unadoubtedly seducing sweet tavern wenches- were preparing for the ques-"

"What was that about the sweet wenches?
"Why, I stand corrected! You're not sweet, are you?
"Kindly shut up and continue with it, Baen."

"As I was saying, two individuals of note were preparing to embark on a quest and adventure that would rip the hinges off the world and make the mountain gods sigh!"

"He means it's important. Why mountain gods?"

"Poetic licence! Ahem. For these two individuals of note were gathering adventurers around them. Adventurers, bounty hunters, even scholars. For beyond this rustic, lovely, quaint village, forces moved. Druids. Magicians. Mortals and not so mortals.
All moved by animalistic instinct, all allured by the call, all ready to fight and kill for the item forged by the blood of the gods.
The chalice is somewhere."

"And it shall be ours again."

"Besides, what are adventurers without an adventure?"
"Syntax."
"...Good point."

Basically, the roleplay would initially revolve around the hunt of a magical item known as the Chalice, which is rather important to the Others that act as my main characters, but the plot can lead us to interesting places and is very flexible.
I'm intentionally keeping it somewhat vague, but it'll grow, ah, progressively darker. Don't trust the Chalice, don't trust the tropes, and especially don't trust the Others.

This your usual high fantasy adventure RP setting. It even starts in a tavern! And of course I'm using and making fun of a lot of stock fantasy tropes. (Except orcs as expected unexpected highway bandits. Even I don't swoop that low. Give them orcs a break.)

Anyway, tl;dr: looking for a couple of characters for a Ye Old Adventure style roleplay, with all the subverted or not subverted tropes included. (Oh, dear.)

Haha, well, what character would you use? (I assume you'll use your only non-anon one? ) Well, I was waiting to have around four or five people. Dunno, the more the merrier.
(By the way, Crimson, what's your stand about this roleplay? I mean, are you interested in joining? )

Oh, sure! Since we're still developing Narisa's story, she and Farny should probably stay out of this one, though ...

Alia might work for it? Depends on how it's proposed to her. And I'd love to get her in one. Brit (Brittan) might work too, but I haven't RPed with her much

Or if you think someone else (or another type of character) would round the party out well, that's fine too

Well, Brittan could be pretty interesting, specially considering the parallels that could be drawn between her and the two time travellers.
(She's an explosive and rebellious fire sorceress, while they're both smug and analitical "light" Others with a doctorate in heat magic... )

Alia could also be interesting, but we've already got a couple of elves, apparently, so I dunno

I'm good with using Brit Like I said, I haven't really RPed with her yet, so it should be fun!

Despite her usual avoidant nature this sounds like something Ananni might see cause to keep an eye on. And maybe even interfere with.

I think I'll make her a couple years older, though - like 19 or 20

*Cackles* Although to be fair, Marchesa's also very good with water, more so than fire.

Anyway, we already have four players confirmed at the least, right? Malintra, Annani, Crimson and myself. (I'm still waiting for a reply about their characters from Amari's and Blackmaskx's part ) I kinda wanted to start with five or so, to be honest.

My wood elf would probably love something like this if its still open.
