Overview
You're on a lonely walk home from school. You can already smell the alcohol on your uncle's breath, and you're not even halfway there. It's a big city, the one you live in. The one you've lived in for most of your life.
Suddenly, you look up. A vision befalls your eyes, and you see a man, coming towards you with a knife. A crazed man.
You shake your head. It was just another one of those.. dreams..
You continue warily down the road, and glance to your left down towards an alleyway.
The man from your vision, comes to life before you.. A crazed man, likely on some sort of illicit drug, charges for you. You clutch your school books to your chest and shut your eyes, as a sudden, intense inferno lights forth in front of the man, leaving his charred remains dead on the concrete.
You already hear the sirens coming, and you start to take off..
"Not again.." you say softly. You are nearly home. You glance to your right, beside the door to the loft you live within. A shadowed figure of a man appears to be watching you.. You blink, and refocus, only to see the shadow has disappeared, and is nowhere to be seen.
"Not YOU again..." you say to yourself.

What I'm looking for is a Rp partner, perhaps even several, to join in uncovering what will eventually become a sort of, scifi/Fantasy mix, set in a mostly modern environment - Expect magic, Some futuristic technology, mythical beings, and a good bit of good ol' fashion violence!
Mainly, I'm seeking someone to play the role of this person, mentioned above. The specifics for this person are not set in stone, but in my head thus far, it is as follows.
-A female, around the age of seventeen.
-Introverted
-Lives with a physically abusive Uncle
-Appears, fully human
-Is not, fully human (Details to be discovered through interactions)
Once this particular role is filled, I will likely seek others, to play off the established story.
*Note, I do intend to fill multiple rolls in this setting, at least starting off.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
I'm not sure if my character Azalea completely fits the role you're seeking, but hey, might just work. So... Yah.

I have this character...but I think it would work more on another role.
Lilah would fit here, I believe. She is still a work in progress, but she would do. 
I did get a lot of replies for this, and I am both excited, and surprised! If it is on a first come first serve basis, the initial roll is filled - yet the way I have it set up (in my head at least) there could be multiple people involved, if not now than a little later. Perhaps I'll just throw the forum up on the general roleplay tab, and see where it goes.
