Xinder walked into the school breathing heavily he knew he was almost late for class, He rushed down the hall and into the classroom just in time. He smiled in relief and sat down saying "Thank god!" the teacher pointed Xinder to his seat so he walked over to it and sat down awaiting for the teacher to teach...

(Now the order is Me, Light, Lying)
Mia was already half asleep. It was obvious that once the teacher would start class, she would be asleep. Honestly, she didn't care about being sent to the office if she got caught. Actually, she would love that.
She looked up at Xinder when he walked in, but just nodded as a greeting, trying to smile. The key word there is trying. She probably looked like some kind of monster.

To the unsuspecting eye, Avery looked like any other student. Aside from an eyepatch over one eye, she was completely normally dressed and relaxing in her seat towards the back of the room. Her one brown eye moved to the boy who walked through the door and a small smile tugged at her lips. Her target had arrived and it was time for the games to begin.
Changing positions, she leaned forward as if interested in whatever it was that the teacher was starting to write on the board. But really, her attention was on the boy, watching his every move. She needed to find a weakness, something to exploit, some way to catch him vulnerable so she could get her job done.

Xinder sat next to Mia happily he glanced at her then at the teacher he was excited to talk to Mia later his one and only friend. He tapped Mia's shoulder and said "Do you have any Idea what we are learning about?" then he just quietly awaited her reply looking around the classroom for a indication of whatever they were doing.
"Uh... We're in science, right? I think we're learning about cells or something..." she muttered. She was so quiet, it was actually kind of weird and a huge contrast to her usual self. "I think it's, like, organelles or... Or was that last year...?" she asked, staring at the board. It would probably help if she had her notes, but she always forgets them.
Making mental notes of the girl that her target was speaking to, she determined that she had her weakness. Now, to find the way to exploit it. Casually, she opened a notebook and started to appear to take notes, but really she was writing something else down. Notes on her plan... her plan to get her target vulnerable. She just had to be cautious of him, because his strength was still unknown to her.
Xinder was confused as he looked around then he said to Mia nudging her "What a good student you are!" Then a bell rang and Xinder gathered his stuff and waited at the door for Mia to catch up It was the fire alarm Xinder soon noticed. He then quickly exclaimed to Mia "This c'mon this might not be a drill Mia!"
She blinked a few times, trying to process what was going on, then shook her head and rushed to the door. She nodded to Xinder and ran out of the building, pushing people aside. She didn't even notice the teachers yelling at her to stop. She really only cared about getting out of the building. Well, okay, she did care about Xinder getting out, too.

The sound of the alarm brought Avery to her feet, but she didn't go following the duo. If she tipped them off that she was following them now, her chance to catch him off guard might be lost. "What happened to evacuating in a calm and orderly fashion?" She muttered under her breath as she watched them run off like the devil himself was after them. It wasn't like they were really in danger, the fire, if there was one, wasn't even visible to them yet and she couldn't smell smoke, meaning they were probably overreacting. Rolling her eyes, she walked with their class to get outside, there was no point in wasting energy.
Xinder took a heavy breath as he stopped, out of breath, he then continued out the door then he thought Everyone walking and all... I wonder if they know it's not a drill? Sometimes it pays off to be Malatic creature! He with his hyper-active sense of smell allowed him to smell the smoke it was a faint smell but he knew fires spread quickly, and staying in that room was dangerous when there are fires, god knows where the fires could be in the school, he was reliving the possibilities of what could have happened like What if the second floor collapsed on the first? What if Mia would have gotten trapped? What if a assassin was following them and did that little stunt so they could distract him? Eventually he realized the people exiting the School were injured and had burns some even had to be carried out, he sighed at his success of smelling the fire.
Mia looked around at everyone else. She rolled her eyes at their calmness. Calm is SO boring, she thought, continuing to push students. She liked anything that was exciting, like fire drills. Only, in this case, it was an actual fire... which was totally better. There were a few students who pushed her back, but she just pushed them again. She was doing an awesome job of turning a calm evacuation into chaos, which she was completely fine with, and even kind of happy about.
Well, at least now Avery had what she needed. Wandering out of the building, she paged through a stack of papers, humming to herself. Then, she tucked them away into her backpack, that she'd brought with her, somehow.
Of course, anyone with half a brain would put together 2 and 2 and realize that no normal fire would spread so quickly without help. Only an idiot would think a fire could spread that fast through a building without it being arson or some kind of gas leak. Avery, of course, wasn't stupid and knew how fire worked. She'd have to worry about what started the fire later though, since she needed to get her job done as a priority.
But, for now, she had the tools she needed to get started, and the fool had already clued her in on something about him that she wouldn't have previously known if he hadn't gone running like a mad man when the fire started and set off the alarm. Oh dear, he was in trouble now... it seems he may have just put himself and his pretty little friend out of the frying pan and into the fire.

Xinder walked over to Mia and stood in front of her so no one would hit her, because no one would dare touch him if they did they knew they'd die. Xinder asked Mia attempting to be calm as possible so no one would suspect him as a Alien "Are you okay? No burns from the fire right?" No one except Mia and him for all that he knew understood it was a real fire. He sighed thinking to himself You must be more careful with your powers around these people, you knew there was a fire before anyone else if you would have hopped up before the fire alarm you would have looked suspicious... Stupid, Stupid, STUPID. I care about Mia and I don't want her to get hurt but I can't get myself caught in the process! He awaited Mia's response to his question.
"Yeah, I'm fine... I think," she said, looking at her arms. She had a few bruises from the chaos, but nothing else. "Yeah, totally fine." She smiled up at him. "Thanks for warning me about the fire, by the way. I've only ever been in a school fire once, but that was in elementary school, back in..." she tried to remember the year, but ended up just staring off at the trees farther away, muttering "in..." every once in a while.
Walking past the pair, Avery popped some gum in her mouth, chewing casually as she kept going. There was no point in staying at the school any longer, she wasn't even a student here. She had what she needed, it was time to go home and get back to planning. But, oh, the money was going to be so worth all of the trouble she was going through.
Not long after Avery had left, someone else passed the duo and as they went, shoved something into Xinder's back pocket. If he pulled it out, he would find a note, that smell strongly of bleach and smoke. Typed on the paper, it said, 'Watch your back.' Whether it was a threat or a warning... well that was up for them to figure out for themselves. Whoever had stuck it in Xinder's pocket left in a hurry, and was long gone before either of the two could do anything.

Xinder smiled at Mia as over the intercom they yelled "SCHOOL'S OUT LEAVE!" as the police escorted the students away. Xinder sighed and then walked off with Mia then he sat on a bench nearby the school then a note fell out of his pocket. He didn't even see at first then the wind began to blow it off and he caught it mid drift and read it. Then he gasped and as Mia walked up he slowly calmed his self worriedly of future events.
"... What's up?" she asked, sitting next to him and trying to read the note over his shoulder. He was a half foot taller than her, so it was extremely hard. She finally gave up and snatched the paper from his hands and read it, then shoved it back in his hand and covered her nose.
"Oh, GOSH! That smells AWFUL!"
"Oh, GOSH! That smells AWFUL!"
Returning to one of her many hideouts, Avery settled down at her desk and spread out the papers, searching for the exact information she needed. Humming to herself, she paged through several of the papers quickly. If she could just find what she needed, then she would have the first thing necessary to put her plan into motion. Of course, she was still deciding how long to wait until the pair would face her true danger... how long would she let them settle into a sense of safety before she came for them?
Xinder looked and Mia then grabbed her arm and he ran off with her determined not to let her die at any time by anything or one.
"Where are we going?" she asked between coughs. She was extremely sensitive to smells, so strong smells made her cough. She looked around at the last of the students leaving.
