Trixie Harabell (played by SailorTitan)

((OOC: Only open to certain RPers.))

A young woman looked out the window of her office. The offices dood read the name Trixie Harabell. Her violet eyes looked up at the stars sparkling in the dark night sky. Her mind wandered. She wondered how late it was. She held her wrist out in front of her and looked down at her watch. 11:00 PM. Pretty late. Her parents must be worried about her. But she didn't know what to say, she had gotten a whole pile of paperwork around 5 at noon and had to get it all done. She couldn't though. She looked back at her desk, still half of the paperwork piled up on it. She sighed heavily. How was she going to get this done tonight? She has to have if into her boss by tomorrow morning. She was already so tired though and her eyelid were heavy.

She looked up from her desk at the window, looking out at the hallway full of other people's offices. All the lights were practically off except for one or two people probably just finishing up lady minutes work with little lamps on. Really, her office lights were the only lights shining into the hallway. She moved her dirty blonde bangs out of her eyes with her hand. Her hair was up in a high pony tail.

She decided she would leave and finish this paperwork at home. She knew she would have to pull an all nighter. Trixie took her beige coat from off the back off her chair and put it on. She buttoned the dark brown buttons up and reached down to grab her purse from off the ground. She hung her purse loosely around her arm and grabbed the paperwork in both of her hands. She turned around to take one final glance at the night sky out the window then turned back around, ready to go until her door opening startled her and she almost dropped her papers as she jumped.

Her boss, John Blackwood, opened her door and entered her office, carrying a news paper in his one hand.
"Sorry to startle you, Miss. Harabell." The man in his mid 50s said calmly to the woman.
"Oh no, it's fine , sir. I was just on my way home. Is there anything you need?" Trixie asked as she catched her breath.
"Yes." John said as he put the paper on her desk.

The news paper read:

Another Neighborhood Murder

In the city of Detroit, there was another body found at a persons home. This time, the body of a young man looking to be in his mid 20s. The police have not yet found out the mans name or other relatives. Police believe the suspect to be the same murderer that has been killing people this past month in the same neighbourhood. Police have yet to find the suspect but they want to before anymore murders are caused.

Trixie read the paper quietly on her desk as her eyes slowly widened. She looked u at John.
"So this is another murder done by that same suspect we've been following for over a month now?" She asked.
"Yes, another murder done in the same neighbourhood the last one was in and the one before that. We need you to step in, Miss. Harabell." John said as he made his way to the door
Trixie nodded in agreement as she watched John step out of her office and close the door behind him. Trixie sighed, placing her paperwork on her desk one again and rubbing her sore arms from holding the papers for a long period of time. She picked up the news paper and read it again. She felt like she was going to be here for a while.

Max, a new member to the crew of office, was packing up his things when he saw the old man as he called him leave Trixie's office. He popped his head in and asked, "So what was that about?" He was rather blunt with his questions and since he was new to everything and everyone around him. He didn't know when to knock on the door and enter either.

Trixie's head perked up as Max poked his head in her office after John left. Max, The new guy. She looked back at the news paper and then walked over to Max with it. "It's another murder." She said as she handed it to him. "It's another murder in that same neighbourhood. This has been going on for a month now." She simply explained to Max.
"Oh come on, that kid keeps breaking my outside furniture with that stupid bike of his. Do you have any idea how much that stuff costs??" Daniel's voice could be heard for quite a bit through the offices. He was at the front office area of the press. "Why can't you at least run a story on it? I want that little idiot to get what he deserves. The cops won't do nothin' about it and I sure as heck can't." He glanced to the side, noticing a stack of newspapers in the hands of some poor sap working here, reading the title. "Murder, huh?" He left it alone, having no success in talking to the clerk. He read up a bit, muttering silently to himself as he read the words, then hummed. "Seems like a fun case..." He said with a little smirk. He had connections in the press, and so he walked around a bit until he spotted him. A smaller looking guy whose job seemed to be the easiest thing in the world: Chore boy for the higher ups. Coffee and mail, pretty much. He walked over to him and talked for a bit, before he was allowed into the office areas. He heard two voices discussing what seemed to be the murder and quietly walked down the hall, peeking in past Max. "Yo. I'm a random stranger." Not too random really. "Owl" had gotten quite the famous rep around at this point, solving a few cases left and right. This would be only his third murder case, though. He wondered if he'd be recognized, but really did doubt it.

Trixie looked behind Max to see who suddenly walked in and spoke. She saw a man, with black hair. She has heard people talk about him before since they describe what he looked like. She heard people talk about him around the office, but she never really paid attention. She thought he didn't have a office, since she didn't see his name on any of the office doors. She looked at him as she tried to remember what his name was.

"Umm..." She mumbled as she thought. She then waved her hand slightly, forgetting about it. "Is there anything you need, Mr--?" Trixie said. She didn't know what to call him. She tiredly rubbed her sleepy eyes as she glanced down at her watch again. Now it's 12:00 PM. Already midnight. She probably should get going home soon but she couldn't let her tiredness get in the way of her job.
"Owl." He replied, stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I couldn't help but overhear your conversation. Seems like everyone's talking about the killer recently." He said with a yawn. "Would really love to help out." He glanced at the plaque on the door. "Detective Harabell, ah, I've heard of you. You're not a bad one apparently. Well then, let's hope you're as good as people say you are. Go home and get some sleep, it's late. I'll do a little research at home and see what I can do there. I can't tell you where I live, for quite obvious reasons, but I can meet you here tomorrow morning. I've got connections here... After all the cases I've helped solve for the P.D, they allow me limited access to the files and whatnot. Just not classifieds. They really love me in the Cold Case room though." He said with a snicker. "Well, I'm running my mouth a bit. I should be going. Hopefully we'll talk again tomorrow, Detective." And at that, he began walking down the hall again, disappearing into the busy crowded office.

Trixie didn't even get time to reply before he walked away. Owl? Was that even a name? She was starting to think this was some kind of joke but then again, she has heard of people talk about him. He had to work here. Her eyes travelled back to Max as she sighed, "You should get some rest too, It is late. I'll talk to you tomorrow." She gave him a soft smile before gently closing the door in front of her. She turned around and looked at the paperwork still taunting her on her desk. She whined. Trixie totally forgot about the papers. She walked over and sat down in her chair. Maybe she would just get some paperwork done before going home. She took out her pen and stared at the papers. She didn't know where to start. She wasn't thinking straight. She set down the pen on her desk then her head somehow found a comfortable spot on her desk. She closed her eyes. No, I can't go to sleep here! I have to go home. Try and get some paperwork done, Trixie! Her mind was talking to her. She betrayed her thoughts and slowly drifted off into sleep.
"Tap.. Tap.. Tap.. Creeeaaaakkk." Owl stood in the doorway with a stupid look on his face. "Sorry. Needed to wake you up, and sound effects seemed appropriate." He seemed no different, just as pale, and just as sleepless looking. He set a few print outs on Trixie's desk. "I found something interesting. It appears that each body is found with an origami figurine in the right hand and something to do with their occupation in the left. The most recent one was found with an origami stork and a needle. He was a nurse." He said, smirking triumphantly. "I love cases like this ones. Teensy little clues that lead up to big realizations. We need a name for this guy... The Origami Killer seems appropriate." Trixie may have had just woken up, but Owl seemed to not have a problem with talking up a storm. In fact, something WAS different. He looked excited and hyper, trembling with amusement.

Trixie head bolted up, hearing her door open. She looked at Owl, who was already talking to her. She peeled off a piece of paper that had gotten stuck on her face from laying down on her desk. It left a big read mark on the side of her face. She turned her head around, looking out the window and realizing the sun was already rising. Her eyes widened. She felt like she had just been asleep for only a few minutes. She turned back around, trying to pay attention to what Owl was explaining to her. She looked down at the more paper that had been added to her little collection of papers. "Ah, The Origami Killer. Sounds interesting." She said as she took a look at each of the papers. She stood up and took her coat off that she had been wearing all night. She probably smelled horrible. Probably looked horrible. She really needed to change clothes and take a shower. And she still needed to do her homework that she got from last night. She sighed. Trixie looked up at Owl, "Thank you. I'll take a good look at each of these right away.." She said, trying to smile. She looked at the bags under Owls eyes. "Did you even get any sleep last night?" She asked.
He shook his head. "Nah. I don't sleep often. Most of the time I'm solving cases like this one. Usually not murder cases though." He rose an eyebrow at her. "You don't look like you had much of a better time. I'll go pick up some coffee and doughnuts if you need breakfast. There's a little coffee shop down the street that a friend of mine owns. It's absolutely delightful... Oh, and by the way, if you don't mind, I have to ask a few questions too when I get back."

"Alrighty, sounds like a plan to me. Mind if I come? Need a little fresh air..." She replied and finally gave him a real smile. Trixie looked back out the window. She decided that she wouldn't need her coat, it looks like it's going to be a sunny day. She looked back at him.
Nodding, Owl turned from the doorway and stepped out from it to allow Trixie out. Once out, he closed the door behind her with a smile. Well, he wasn't the most impressive young man in the looks and manners category but at least he was polite... -ish. He kept his hands in his pockets the whole time, a nervous habit, and led Trixie out of the offices and down the street a little way. A small shop which used to be a Goodwill, it looked like, was set among the other quaint structures and stood out in a homey, warm way with its deep brown colored bricks and clear windows showing people inside on laptops, enjoying each other and coffee, reading, or people inside working. Letting Trixie in first, he followed after her. Inside, it was quiet save for the little chatter of employees and customers. One of them immediately recognized Owl and hurried over to him. It was a skinny young man in an apron with electric blue hair and black highlights. He was very feminine and flamboyant. "Daniel!" He said with a big grin. "It's been forever. What can I get you, hun?" Owl, or Daniel apparently, chuckled slightly. "Just a cup of vanilla cappuccino and a box of doughnuts, and whatever my friend here would like. I'll pay for it all." The man in front of them, a nametag on his apron suggesting the name "Ty", waited for Trixie's order with a friendly smile. [Bah, I dunno. A flamboyant NPC good friend seemed pretty cool. :P ]

The whole way Trixie looked around at her surroundings. It was a pretty nice place. She saw the small brown shop ahead. Trixie mumbled a "thank you" to Owl after being led in by him into the shop. She looked at the young man with striking blue hair that ran towards Owl. She then smiled as she watched them reunite. Her eyes widened a little when she realized the blue haired man was talking to her. "Uhh-" She stuttered a bit. "Just a regular coffee...lots of sugar." She smiled. She needed the sugar and coffee to help keep her awake through out the rest of the day.
Ty nodded and soon walked off to get the orders ready, Owl standing by the cash register to pay soon. "It's not much, but those are usually the best places to get food, y'know." He said with a wink as he took the box and two coffees. They were in one of those four cup crates. He carried both with him past Trixie and held the door for her. "Thanks Ty. See you some other time." He hefted the box of doughnuts up a little bit before walking behind Trixie. "So, when we get back, I need to know stuff like the manner in which he kills. Then we may be able to work out a motive, occupation, stuff like that."

Trixie gave a smile to Ty before walking out of the shop. She slowed her pace down so Owl could catch up to her. Then they were walking side by side as she looked in front of her, "Oh, and thank you for paying." She looked at him and gave him a smile before looking where she was walking again. She nodded when he suggested that they discuss the manners and how they will later be able to talk about the motive and occupation. She glanced down at the watch around her wrist, 9:00 AM. She still had time. Trixie should probably get going at about 10 to attend her...therapy. She never told anyone about her therapy though. She found it embaressing. She looked over at Owl again, trying to get the thought out of her head. "Do you want me to carry something? Your hands look full there." She asked.
He shook his head. "Nah. I've got it. A lot of people tell me I'm too literal and a little mean sometimes, and that, while it may be true, does not mean that I can be without manners!" He said with a smile as they turned the corner, the Police Station a few yards down the way. He pushed it open with a foot to let Trixie in first, then followed her to her office, setting the food and drinks down on an unoccupied table so that he wouldn't mess up her work on the desk. Picking up his coffee, he took a sip and nibbled on a chocolate-frosted doughnut. "So, how do the victims mainly die? Any weaponry? Assumed weaponry? Perhaps there's a trademark way that they're killed."

Trixie held the door open after she went in first, letting Owl in after her. She walked to her office and then closed the door behind her. She took her coffee from the crate and took a sip. Trixie held the coffee with both of her hands, trying to suck up the warmth.

"Well, we assume that he...or she...is using a knife for every kill. We did find knife wounds on all of the victims but never actually found the weapon at the scene." She said and then took another sip of her coffee. "We believe that the murderer is using the same weapon everytime, on every kill." She said. "That's all we really know, currently."
Nodding, Owl hummed. "Is there any specific part of the body, usually? And what kind of knife appears to be used?" He asked as he read up on the newspaper a little bit. "I'm thinking the possibility of it being a doctor. And most likely, the don't live in that area. They are probably a few blocks away and only killing in that specific area to disguise themselves."
Trixie Harabell (played by SailorTitan) Topic Starter

"Most of the victims had wounds on their chest area. The suspect is probably aiming for their heart, which he succeded damaging the heart and killing the victims countless times before." She said and thought for a second before speaking again, "Well..from what we can tell, It is most likely to be a Santoku Knife." She replied. Trixie nodded when he said he thought they could possibly be living in a different area and killing in a different area to disguise themself.
