Blaze glanced around as she stepped outside of the King's chamber. Coast was clear, or at least it seemed so. Everybody had to be dancing and being high-class stuck-ups at the ballroom, all the guards with their focus on those guests.
The King was a fool, he hadn't brought guards with him. A terrible mistake. She wiped her dagger with the hem of her dress. Task done. Now, this was the difficult part. Getting out without being noticed.

She landed in from of the castle on her knees. She stood after a short while,as if she passed out after landing."Owww my head....Wait...where am I!?" She quickly looked around before staring upon the large castle "What the hell...Well..might as well ask what this place." Starting to pace toward the castle, wondering if the guards will stop here as her memory started to return."Why would he send me here, this doesn't seem like a place I could fi-..."She stop talking for a moment once she reached the entrance.
Her fancy, but rather fluffy purple gown casted a distracting a shadow on the wall. Windows would not do it, she had to leave the way she got in. As a guest.
The ballroom was just as she had left it. Full of people dancing, but guards would soon notice her there and the absence of their king.
She made her way through the crowd, trying to be invisible to them.

In the guise of human flesh, the beast lumbered about the ball room. His demonic nature and aura only tracable by those to whom the gift to sense such a thing was bestowed as to normal eyes he currently appeared as nothing more than a minor noble at another fancy party. He feigned laughter and merriment as the rest truely posed within the ambiance of the gathering. But to him. He knew something was amiss. The smell of death. A smell he so enjoyed and even moreso preferred to be the cause of wafted into his nose.
Lazaras: A once mortal man now demonic beastily entity with the power to warp ones mind and take possession of their body was on the prowl. He sought two things. One: the source of the smell and two: The one who caused it. Motives unknown, he walked amid the crowd occassionally bumping shoulders with people. Some on accident but mostly on purpose. His eyes glanced about as he looked for any sign.
"If the guards were more combat tuned, i'm sure they could even pick up on this scent...It's so obvious..." He muttered.
A moment later he found himself in the path of one particular lady. One who wore the dress.he stopped his walk as he stared at her for a moment.
"Perhaps a little fun first...death is death...always happens..."
He then approached her in silence until he got within a normal voice tones ear shot.
"Excuse me m'lady. Would thou care to dance? It seems we are the lonely ones on such spectacular of a evening. It shouldn't be such a way for one as fare as yourself."

Blaze looked up at the man who had adressed her. Damn, so much for being all stealthy ninja. She had to think of something fast. If she refused she'd probably just draw attention, but if she didn't the guards would notice her being without their precious king.
She analyzed the man carefully. His clothes were no different from the ones around them, but something about his face told her he was not easily deceived.
"It would be very nice to have a dance partner." She said with her best fake smile. "I'm afraid my previous one abandoned me."

To say the least, something interesting is always amuck wherever he goes. It had been days since he received the invitation to arrive at said castle to attend a Ballroom dance of sorts. The card decorated in such a way of sophistication that copying its detail would be surely hard for a common thief, but nevertheless he was assured entry into the castle. Aristocrat events always tend to fall into his lap.
Already amidst the shifting cluster of people who spoke in obscene tones as though each group of people were trying to out-talk the neighboring circles or whatever shape they so happen to be standing in. Dressed for the occasion, he so mingled with a few of the by-standers with small talk. He, a musician by public trade sure enough had no problems holding a 'decent' conversation with held patience by the impotence of those around. Despite his lack of appeal to the tones and atmosphere these people have lingering like a revolting perfume. An entity of moral contradictions he was.
It was until the familiar scent of blood came to his keen sense of smell did he almost have the urge to raise his lycan ears from beneath the hair he was concealing them with. As one of the patrons were essentially talking his ear off he could not help but wonder who's blood? This were a party planned out by the Royal heads of this nation. Why would there be blood smelled? "Judging by the strength it's more than just a drop." He muttered under his breath. The patron who had been monologuing; for lack of better words, to Kai, asked what he was rambling on about? Kai's eyes became sharp and vial for just a moment's notice at the patron's self-absorbed attitude, but then again Kai himself has quite the ego of his own.
Kai shook his head, erasing that look of detestment from his expression as he urged to continue the conversation. Figuring to wait amidst the crowd a little longer for anything 'suspicious'. A half-breed of uncommon blood despite the specie sure enough had little to no problems being just another face in the crowd to the uninsightful or keen.

Yelling came from a corridor, followed by the guard from where it came from. "The king is dead! The king is dead!" The cry echoed throught the great room, bringing every guard to their feet. The doors slid closed from their places of slumber as the guards took up position infront of them. The echos of armor could be heard moving around the halls through out the castle. The captain of the guard was seen running down the hall to the King's chamber. They thought this impossible!
Myth heard the doors clang shut. "Well this should be fun." He had a quick back and forth with the woman he was talking with before saying their goodbyes. He quickly searched the crowd. His abilities allowed him to see through Kai & Lazaras's disguises immediately. "How did I not see that before," he asked himself before shrugging it off. He walked closer to both of them. Myth saw that the crowd was starting to panic, which made him consider summoning Melody the muse to calm everyone. He shooed the thought from his head and kept his eyes on the Demon & the Wolf-Hanyo, not trying to hide or sneak, but simply staring.
Those words rang through his head about the king having taken his last breath. The patron whom had been conversing with Kai seemed to have ascertained this look of impeccable fear and dismay. Kai, however, did not appeared phased at the grim announcement. "So much for 'Long Live the King'" Speaking under his breath with a glass of tonight's royal champagne to his lips by just the rim of the glass. A small taste graced over his tongue with the tilt of said glass and a small parting of lips, eyes part-way closed to savor its exquisite taste.
With part-way closed eyes still looking into the crowd he could not help but notice one amongst them who did not move in the distorted motions of panic and chaos. For the moments he sipped at his champagne he kept his eyes focused on the sole individual who seemed to be looking back at him. "With every King's death is rarely ever the cause of natural aging. People wanting to see a change in the social system they toil under." These words were more-so to be kept to himself as utterances that passed through his lips from an ever active mind. The patron who had yet to leave Kai's side grabbed at his wrist, shouting at how could he say such a thing; clearly having overheard Kai's mindless rabble. The grip to Kai's wrist did not so much gain acknowledgement until the glass began to emanate a chilling smog from its transparent craftsmanship. It was freezing over. The liquid contents of what remained also chilled to solidification. "I've had enough with your constant talking."
Setting the glass back onto the table, refusing to lose eye contact with the individual in the distance. Those antique pupils of his not given the time to even blink. The patron clearly had not noticed what was done to the glass Kai once possessed and proceeded to storm off into the crowd in search of a solution; no one significant.
His attention was finally snatched away, seemingly to the upstairs balconies that harbored hallways beyond their railings. The constant stamping of steel footsteps echoed from down those upstair corridors. "Shame I can't get up there without being noticed." More speaking his mind. His hand went to grab at the glass of champagne recently set down to take a sip from it only to be reminded he had frozen its' refreshing contents the moment he had brought it back to his lips. In almost comedic fashion he grumbled to himself then heaved a sigh before setting the glass down and walking away from the table with hands sliding into his pockets frustratingly.

He held out a hand to her as an oh so innocent look crossed his face in preperation for said dance. That was until he heard the announcment of the kings death. Ever so slight a be used grin crossed his face as he placed his back to who was to be his dance partner as he closed his eyes for a moment.
"So...that was the smell of death..." He muttered under his breath.
He quietly then turned back to the woman and smiled with a look of reassurance.
"Surely in todays society a woman as fare as yourself could possibly have had nothing to do with this. Though we just met, guilty or not, you were with me the entire time. Be warned though, if things get hairy, i may surprise you. You can thank my kindness later."
He then turned his gaze and watched as guards began entering the chamber and once more held his hand to her.
"May fun times begin anew. And boy do I hope they are fun."

A confused expression filled her face but quickly recovered from the unexpected warning. She didn't have anything to fear. Nothing would happen.
She had had the slightest moment of panic when she had heard the doors slam shut. It had sounded so eerily like the ones of a dungeon. The dungeon she'd be thrown into to rot forever if she didn't find the way to get out of there.
Even after the news, a few other couples kept on dancing. Nobility was so weird. She was glancing sideways at the guards too but smiled at him nervously -a common thing among shy girls-, placing her pale hand on his.
"I'm sure we'll have fun, I've been told I'm quite an entertaining company. And I must assure you, I have nothing to do with this unfortunate accident." Okay, that was a big, fat lie; but really, really necessary.

(( Kai, do you know how much of my time you wasted when you could have just said you sipped some wine, froze it, and looked up? ))
Myth's expression softened and and happy look of friendship swept over his face. He boldly walked towards Makenna & Lazaras, "Lovely evening isn't it?" Myth looked at Makenna then to Lazaras, "Shame about the king isn't it?"

The Captain of the Guard noticed the ignorance of the crowd from where he reappeared on a balcony. His hands gave a signal to the guards in the area who then took up a line formation at each exit, each of their hands were placed on their sword.
There is a great chance that the fiend who killed our great King is here. We will find them, and deal accordingly. A man walked up behind him and handed him what looked like a coiled black rope. The Captain grabbed an end, letting it uncoil to the floor. "We advise you come forward, for we will find you. You will die either way. If you give yourself up you will be killed quickly, but if not..." He drew back the whip and cracked it over the audience. "You will suffer greatly."
The Captain had his own reason for finding the King's killer you see. It was more than just duty to his King and country. The King himself had given him the position as Captain of the Guard, and a new one could easily change that. He wanted revenge.
At the crack of the whip the crowd panicked slightly, those who did not certainatly knew he had cracked it. A panicked murmur came up from the crowd and drifted to his ears. "Quiet! Quiet! If you are innocent then you have nothing to fear! You only need wait here until we find the murderous creature and wring its throat." Another murmur rose up and was quickly silenced by two cracks of the whip. "I will give the culprit fifteen minutes to turn them self in for a quick and painless death before I search every corner of this castle and break every bone in their body!" His voice increased with venom with every word until he seemed like he would kill the next person who approached him. With this the Captain stormed off back down the corridor followed by two of his men. This was the only open hallway.

I can't help that I tend to be detailed in my works. Adds some finesse and expression. ))
The sound of the whip immediately snatched his attention upward back toward the balcony in which he had been eyeing just moments before. In the back of his mind as he listened to the aggressive stance in phrasing his sentences, he could not help but toil away at the possibilities on where the assassin may be. Perhaps they were onto something, herding everyone into the same room and shouting threats to flush out the culprit. Kai furrowed his brow in frustration, that was, until he noticed the scent of blood still lingered in the air although it was not from down a few corridors and a door, so to speak, it was right here in this very room. Taking a breaths he began to move through the crowd as casual as possible, humming to himself as though this were all a game to him.
The question for him though is: What would he do if and when he found the culprit? Give away his or her position to the guards? This was an answer he had not yet come up with. Feeling like a mouse in a maze looking for a piece of cheese he continued to weave through the crowd off of a few wafts of the blood. One moment the scent was fainter than before and in some cases it was stronger. Nevertheless, like a bloodhound he always seemed to end up in the same vicinity despite the ever shifting position of people in this crowd a duet of people kept coming across his search.
In an almost indiscreet fashion as though he were trying to get through he moved himself around Lazaras then behind Makenna. "Pardon me, excuse me." His position behind Makenna put him to cut Myth off just a bit all the while he was taking in the scents of those whom he passed. Here. The smell of blood was at its strongest. Not in a position where the perfume around the nape of a person's neck, but further down near the ground. At this point he had already shifted a few persons distance to have between him and the group of three just a bit behind him. His lycan ears perked up of intense intrigue. Startled by his own momentary exposure he pretended to sneeze, elbowing a gentleman in the side before motioning around his backside to snatch the male's fedora from his head in a fashion to make him look behind rather than to the side and slink just a few more person's away.
Slipping the fedora on to keep his inhumane ears covered he motioned over to the individual whom he had a 'staring moment' with earlier. "Can I borrow you a moment?" Having placed himself between he and Makenna with a finger lifted as he paused a moment. "Actually." Spinning around to face Lazaras and Makeanna he shifted off-set to the side just a smidge to allow Myth to be apart of this topic he was about to impose. Hands folded in front of him. "Blood." Eyes darting around between the three of them. "The smell of blood is strongest here so one of you---" Shifting his head from left to right as though trying to knock a thought loose from the inner part of his mind in proper wording. "--mmm.. has to be who--" Lowering his voice for it only to be audible for solely them to hear. "they~ are looking for."
Having broken his own search results to the three mysterious individuals he promptly introduced himself. "Name's Kai Shimatori. I'm in no way affiliated with the Royal Court so no need to worry about me." Immediately disassociating himself from suspicion, if possible by these methods after his already awkward approach. Unfolding his hands to slip them in his pockets, the right pocket having a coin in it in which he proceeded to fondle, flip and roll between his digits.

(( That's beyond detailed. That's almost annoying, I got two sentences in and i quit. I wouldn't mind reading if it was once every few pages, but seriously? lol, and I'm pretty sure you just did the guard right?))
Myth continued talking when Kai tried to cut him off. When he finished he turned to Kai to say, "A little weird, but nice to meet you Kai, I'm Myth." He raised his hand from his side to shake Kai's hand, but before his hand even reached past his hip he remembered that Kai wasn't human, but a Wolf-Hanyo in disguise. A bad one at that. Before it looked like he was going for a handshake he shifted his hand up to gingerly scratch his cheek. "So what makes you think one of us did it," Myth said, looking at the two creatures poorly disguised, at least to his powers, and the half dragon girl with a slight tint of a guilt cloud above her head. He laughed to himself then asked Kai again, already knowing the answer, "So what makes you think one of us did it?"

After quietly watching from the crowd, a strange black cloaked man glided across the ground examining the Captain of the Guard trying to see if this man could maybe, just maybe, be able to swiftly take out the Captain of the Guard.
He looked to his female companion then at the small crowd that had gathered about them before narrowing his gaze and hissing through clenched teeth.
"Are you two total idiots? Innocent or not a suddenly gathering crowd such as ours shall draw attention. This room may be full but people gravitating towards one spot will surely catch an eye."
He then shook his head in a disappointed manner.
"Seems the party is just full of interesting people though..."
He looked at the gathered new comers than towards the balcony as a slight smirk crossed his face.
"My farest of companionship on this wonderful eve. I told you not to be alarmed if I surprise you but i feel like drawing attention. You all stay here...actually...dog... You come with me..."
He had directed the dog comment towards Kai not as a insult but as a hidden hint that he knew of Kai's true self. He then started walking through the crowd making his way to the nearest stairs leading to the balcony area. As he did he reached up and ripped off the right sleeve to his fancy dress coat revealing a tribal-esque tattoo on his right arm.
"Show time...Tasogare..."

Blaze shivered a bit at the Guard's threat, and even became paler than usual, but turning herself in wasn't even an option for her. She thought nothing else could surprise her that night, but she was wrong. Apparently, her little dirty secret was about to be discovered. Just great.
"Nice to meet you all." She sighed, not bothering to hide behind a fake smile anymore, even though she wasn't intending on admitting anything just yet. "I agree with him. We're being too suspicious grouped like this. I'm very curious as to how you came up with that conclusion too, Kai; but we'll have to leave that for later, it seems. Go."
She felt the urge to palm her dagger, conceiled under her dress, but didn't. That'd be like a death sentence with so many watchful eyes around.

Before Lazaras had left the group he explained, "Do you not see all these groups? People are clumping together like high school cliques." He chuckled to himself softly. When Lazaras left and ripped off his sleeve Myth's face turned to a disappointed expression. He leaned in to Makenna and whispered only loud enough for her to barely hear, "Don't worry, I wont tell anyone your secret," with a slight smile. He didn't know she had killed the king, but was referring to the fact that Makenna wasn't fully human. Myth's body faced Lazaras before he said to himself, "Oh lord, what's that wicked weed going to do now?"
A confused guard moved on the balcony, it was obvious he was new. What a day for that! He cocked his head at the man on the stairs. "You're the one?"
