Today, the RPR takes its first baby steps toward providing better support for mobile phones and tablet devices, with a version of the main site that scales automatically to fit smaller screens! This should make RPing via mobile a vastly easier experience, as there will no longer be a need to pinch, stretch and pan to navigate and read.
Actually, this update wasn't scheduled to go out for another few months! However, I felt the need to rush this update to you for one simple reason: the kudos you guys have been writing for the Festival of Being Excellent To Each Other have been heart-meltingly amazing. I know that for those of you on mobile, giving kudos was an arduous and frustrating experience. Hopefully, my mobile-bound friends will have an easier time participating in the festivities after today!
There's still a long road ahead of us to make the mobile version as pleasant to use as the desktop version in its own special way. A touch-screen experience is a completely different one, and the site wasn't originally designed with it in mind! There's much refining, tweaking and elbow-grease ahead of me -- not to mention all the hundreds of character templates that are going to need the same treatment over 2015. But I know you'll help me make it the best it can be by reporting your experiences and letting me know what would make life easier for you!
Love you guys.

Thank you SO MUCH, Kim!!! Now I can post while on the go! Or while on break when I'm at work. *cackles* Love it!
Tap the key icon.
@Eli - You can do this by going to Dashboard > Settings and checking "Prevent resizing on small screens"
I personally don't like it. I would rather view the regular site with my phone, but that's just me.
I love this sooooo much!! Thank you!
@Kim - Thank you for making the resizing preventing thing so quickly, that makes RPing so much easier again. I'm sure I'll use the mobile version for things like adding widgets to character pages, which is nearly impossible with the desktop version on a touchscreen. Introducing a mobile version is great, I just really needed the option not to use it most of the time.
I noticed! Thank you so much! Now I can rp easier while on my lunch break!
Thank youuuu *rolls around in mobile awesomeness*
Thank you very much for the option to not resize. This helps a lot.
I wan't to thank you so much Kim. It seems like a lot of work, and i thank you for that. I thank you also for the choice to keep it original. I have grown used to the original one, but congratulations on the big update. I see ALOT of people are happy with it. Thank you for all the hard work ~
Okay, you can now go to Dashboard > Settings and check "Prevent re-sizing to fit smaller screens"
@Alecia - Yes. There's really no good way to implement that feature per browser, as there are new browsers and browser versions released all the time. I slapped in the band-aid fix that we have now this morning since I honestly didn't realize making the site adjust to mobile was going to upset people so much. Requests for a mobile version had gotten so numerous it was bordering on harassment, and then combined with complaints that it was hard for mobile users to participate in this event, I released a little early.
I can really appreciate the thought and effort that went into this update, however I find this new layout far more frustrating. I am looking forward to the swap back support.
Yay! I it! It's a lot easier to use the site now on my tablet.
I definately love all the aspects of this!
I agree with some of the others that the text is a but big but that's minor. As of over all I love everything but the purpose a game which I can't get to work on my phone

Um, was the swap-back support you're working on what I was talking about? Sorry, I didn't find the term anywere and it didn't occur to me that you might mean a built-in, not a browser-dependent thing. Ever since the group forums switched to a big-lettered mobile version, I've been 'oh goodness please don't let that happen to PMs,' so finding out that it did happen and I can't switch it off got me too emotioanal to think about unknown words in much depth. Sorry about probably not having reacted to what you actually wrote, Kim.
OH HOW EXCITAING!
I've been on the iPad for about a month now, and this is so great ^^
