Epic Week Day 7: Victory is within our grasp!

Portal progress

After a harrowing 47 hour battle, the Many Headed Cyborg Dragon fell before our brave warriors!

The goblins abandoned their erstwhile champion as soon as it fell, leaving it to bleed. Not to fear, though! Immediately, a group of concerned members set to work loading the downed beastie onto the world's largest stretcher, and whisked it away to a properly equipped dragon ranch where it can be provided with proper medical care, kept away from children and pets until it calms down, and generally be rehabilitated into a nicer, happier dragon. We'll check back with them in a few weeks to see how that's going.

Meanwhile, running only on sheer adrenaline, our warriors pressed on to clear a path through the remaining goblins to escort the riddle team to the portals.

Four seals were unlocked within the space of about 15 minutes:

The glass seal

Clue #1: Amongst the original group of defenders
Clue #2: The first two to retire
Clue #3: Replaced by Copper_Dragon and Loki
Answer: Dylan & Sherlock

The circuit seal

Clue #1: Home to many imaginary realms
Clue #2: Known for brief naps in the middle of the night
Clue #3: An unhealthy obsession with trivia
Answer: Server

The knowledge seal

Clue #1: A popular source of inspiration for fiction
Clue #2: Modern cryptographers can't crack it
Clue #3: How to find it in a library
Answer: MS 408 (the call number for the Voynich Manuscript)

The gryphon seal

Clue #1: Help me, you're my only hope
Clue #2: 8000 standing together
Clue #3: A magic user in a prominent position
Answer: Rhaetia (who appeared in this film from our 2nd anniversary!)

But the portal is far from finished! Six more seals remain to be unlocked, or even attempted -- our poor warriors were so drained and injured from the dragon that all players had to take an overnight break. In the meanwhile, debate has been especially intense over the broken seal...
