The FC Beta Test

  • Alright. Let's look lively, then, people. We gotta Beta to populate.

    And it's about good-got-damn time, in'nit?

    So we've been bumpin' this phrase around for a bit and haven't given too much information on just what it is exactly --

    So here's the short of it:
    and we absolutely encourage you to glance through this to understand just what you're signing up for in advance.

    The Fort Cheyenne Beta Test is going to act as a soft-launch for the dream on whole, putting those involved at the head of the pack for updates, advantages and chances to aid in shaping the dream for tomorrow and beyond.


    In-world, it will feature:
    • A smaller, more controlled map boasting the hallmark areas of the environment's namesake - The re-purposed Fort Cheyenne Military base.
    • A specific series of events meant to draw greater numbers to the FC base from the surrounding villages and forest areas (because everyone likes a good reason to participate).
    • Events that will award additional character attribute points for participation to boost your character


    OOCly, however, you will also find:
    • Significant RP opportunities and a first change to flesh out your character and get a 'feel' for them, their attitudes, actions and behaviors in real time, with real people.
    • A chance to weave your brain-children into the story of FC from the very beginning, owning businesses or becoming a part of the 'world' itself before it is available and open to the whole of the Furcadia fandom.
    • Frequent map updates as areas become a part of in-game necessity for use, happenings and/or more progress is made on the build itself.
    • A first-look at the quick in coming changes to the dream environment itself as it unfolds for the team leading it.
    • Open forums for proposing changes, additions, ideas for groups and factions and future events to be added to the growing list already created by the founders.

  • So what do you expect?

    What we expect of our participants is:
    • Activity - We want you to want to be here, and to want to participate, actively. That means engaging in ongoing RPs, popping in for events, coordinating RPs of your own, and taking part in polls, surveys or Beta forums that go out to ask for your input!
    • IC Area Idling Avoidance - Nobody likes to sit around and stare at a bunch of other people's pixels, waiting on pins for someone to open post or speak to them. So don't. When you're in world, make it count, and that means no sitting around looking pretty in IC areas! Save it for the OOC if need be!
    • Respect and Adherence to Rules - There aren't a lot of rules by any means, and certainly none you haven't heard before. We just want you guys to respect one another and keep this about what it is: a fun little escape from the real where you get to define the fun.
