The thunder rolls... A wayward storm has been sighted off in the distance, its black clouds angrily churning as it makes its way towards the "quiet" utopia that the Basin has long since been heralded. Its growth is expanding exponentially both in size and in speed, though thus far the only thing that has been reported are furious, razor-sharp winds whipping up stinging dust storms in its wake. Some residents within the basin may have noticed a distinct lack of wildlife, and those that were still lingering about now seem to be in a hurry to take shelter.
No one knows exactly what to expect, but if they have learned anything at all, it is to expect the unexpected... and always, always prepare for the worst.
As if that were not enough to put fear into the Basin's citizens, the bloating body of an older man has turned up seemingly out of nowhere just a few miles outside the Fort's gates, and tucked into the front of his shirt was a weathered piece of paper... something was amiss, and Mother Nature appeared hell bent on taking captives.

- Day one has seen a plethora of weather transitions, and residents came together to help one another prepare for the worst. If you need to know what you missed, read below to learn more:
Off in the distance the sky seems to darken, lining the perimeter of the basin in any direction you look. Storms are nothin' new, especially once the dryness of Indi-Summer wears off. The weather has shifted from hot to somewhat comfortable as the Harvest season takes it place, but still... something feels a little off. Rumor has it that a storm is rolling in from the coast, but it's just a storm... right?
The comfortable breeze gets sharper, ravaging the basin and rattling the trees and neighboring buildings. The winds occasionally grow stronger, slicing through the air and causing branches to detach and topple to the ground. Those clouds in the distance are making their way towards the Basin and growing increasingly darker, bumbling with thunder and crackling with lightning.
Many residents rush about, with Zemorah delegating at the helm, securing their belongings and getting personal effects indoors before the impending storm makes landfall. The wind had softened to give residents a small reprieve from its sting. Although for now the clouds continue to increase both in size and darkness, their bark seems far worse than their bite.
Those once distant clouds have seemingly stopped directly above the Basin--blanketing it in an eerie darkness hours before true nightfall. It is unnervingly quiet, and residents, already trying to secure their belongings and homes, begin scrambling for candles and charged up solar lights... anything they can find to stave off the darkness.
So far the rain has been staved off... but who knows what morning will bring?
