Wᴀᴛᴇʀʟᴏɢɢᴇᴅ

mostly-cloudy_260x260.png All bad things must come to an end... The heavy rainfall has begun to subside, its raging winds and incessant, constant downpour slowing to little more than a heavy drizzle. Low-lying campsites and the Crossroads have been flooded out, making travel outside of the Fort dangerous if not impossible entirely. Residents are urged to stay put until the ground dries out a significant bit, but there will be plenty of necessary repairs to keep everyone especially busy over the next few weeks. Buildings have been plagued with leaks or siding detaching entirely, and dirt has turned to overly sticky mud.

The sun is trying desperately to peek itself through cracks in the dark clouds that still loom overhead. Once the rain clears out entirely, repair efforts will begin and trapped residents will be rescued. One thing is for certain: there will be a lot to get done.

Any available hands are requested to help rehabilitation efforts that will undoubtedly spring up over the next few weeks.

Here are some highlights for what your characters will endure after the torrential, unrelenting rain that ravaged the Basin incessantly for over two days:

Low lying areas in the Basin are completely flooded out. Entire camps have been wiped entirely. This includes the Crossroads, as the lowest point in the whole Basin, proves entirely inaccessible. Residents of the Metal Village as well as the paths to The Hole and Swan Hallow cannot come and go freely.

Siding has been torn off of several buildings from the rampaging winds, resulting in many casualties. Mudslides have also caused casualties--residents have been strongly urged on numerous occasions to stay indoors. The unusually heavy rainfall would likely bow in weak spots in ceilings, causing leaks or completely wide openings. This would require gutting so that things do not mold, but that's an awful difficult feat when there's so much damn water everywhere.
