Whether you've decided to join NaNoWriMo this year or not, this may pique your interest. It has come to my attention that a knitting equivalent of the challenge has been around for a while. It's not as widespread as the writing challenge, but it is a great way to challenge yourself to knit those Christmas gifts or finish up a project!
So what's the goal?
Quite simply, your goal is to knit 50,000 stitches within the 30 days of November. Ideally you'd have or use patterns with an exact row and stitch count. But if you're like me and you have a sweater incoming at x inches long, that's a bit tricky to calculate.
Alternatively, you can challenge yourself to tackle and finish one large project in a month's time - think of large blankets, a Tom Baker Doctor Who Scarf, that sweater you've been putting off or two pairs of socks and so forth.
