  First of all, this character is a remake.
  He is a low-born boy who grew rich from the silk industry - so rich that he could buy just about anything. Rich people are willing to pay a lot for silk - and pay for a lot of silk they did!
  
  Baron Ruben Tiberius is a Spider; even when he's in his Human form, he is still deep down a spider. At times he is bold, but despite appearances, his nature will be revealed as that of a real spider.
  
  Quiet, shy, and afraid. Submissive in his very nature.
  
  I have tried to capture within Ruben the essence of a rich and powerful Baron - someone whos time is dedicated purely to self-satisfaction. That said...
