His father is on the board of a well-known electronics company and the entire family is very well-off financially. His mother is an alcoholic and often goes on vacation abroad alone to meet other men. Additionally, the nature of his father's job meant that the family travelled often, and Reo was left in the care of babysitters and housekeepers, and later, left to fend for himself. He was never able to build meaningful relationships with other kids due to the constant relocating. Life was worse when his father was home for many reasons, and he eventually found himself looking forward to being home alone, despite the solitude bearing a heavy weight on him. At around eight years old, Reo began to cut his arms, hoping someone would notice and show any concern whatsoever. It never worked, but the habit persists even now.
Reo found himself seeking refuge from his neglectful parents and bad home life on the Internet starting when he was thirteen. He had always been creative, and was finally able to make friends who were like him; lonely artists with stories to tell and no one to listen. He turned to music production, following in the footsteps of his hip hop idols and cultivating a style that was just his own - writing his own lyrics and producing the beats, too. As times changed, his sound evolved, and he picked up fans as an "underground" favorite on SoundCloud. With this sound change came an image change, and even though it started ironically ("hey wouldn't it be so funny if I got a tattoo above my eyebrow that says DROPOUT?"), impulsive Reo was swept up by the glorification of drugs like Xanax and codeine, and got addicted to. Presently, he lives in New York.
