    Freya is a commanding presence, being taller than most Daonna women in her hometown. Her hair is a fiery maroon red. And it is long and wavy, extending to the middle of her back. And she never wears it up. Her eyes are a hypnotic cyan green, with unusually large pupils. Despite having fair skin, Freya does not burn easily at all. Instead she gets a deep tan when exposed to the sun for even just a matter of hours.

    Her arms and legs are toned and defined, though her clothing usually hides this. And though she has bewitching good looks, she has numerous scars all over her person. There are battle scars on her chest, back, arms and knees, and she does everything she can to keep them hidden.

    Freya's name and nickname have quite the meanings. Freya means "noble lady" and Isla means "island". The latter makes sense, since it is believed Freya came from a small island in the ocean. Though no one knows which. But the former is not true. Or at least, no one thinks it is. However her pirate-given name "Folly McFae" is not up to interpretation. "Folly" comes from her love of games and music, enjoying a good wind-down and she becomes bored easily when such things are not present. And "McFae" is because she has the uncanny ability to speak to the Fae of the sea- known as the Merfolk- and even reject their songs with little trouble. As if she herself is of Kesem, or Fae, blood rather than Daonna-Human. And she is an alluring woman that men swear can read the hearts of weak people, like the Kesem are said to do.

    Her personality has two sides. The one everyone sees is a rebellious young woman with a fire for life, a passion for adventure and deep seeded wanderlust. She is fun loving and jovial, being a fan of the arts. She is famous for loving card games. However, even in her excitement she keeps a level head, never gambling or placing bets on her lot. She has to with the crew she has! She is the most poised and guarded of her comrades, being the reliable 'friend' when her crewmates find themselves in the throws of foolish delights. She can be very intuitive and nurturing, as well as romantic and wistful, but this is hidden under her facade of enthusiasm for throbbing adrenaline rushes and lively parties.

  • Freya, like many Daonna, does not have access to magic. Even if she is rumored to have it. Though her abilities are uncanny. She is an excellent fighter, specializing in agile consecutive blows that damage an opponent bit by bit. She is best suited to lighter swords like rapiers and sabers, but her preferred weapon of choice is the broadsword. She can weave through enemy positions like a gust of wind, landing punishing smaller blows in a matter of seconds. Her jumps are unmatched as well, bounding thanks to her longer gait.
    Alongside her fighting prowess, Freya is adapt at mapping out the stars and has an affinity for astronomy. She is a good pathfinder, skilled tactician and cook. She also can sing very well, play the lute, and dance like a trained entertainer.
    Though she does have a number of weaknesses in spite of her strengths. Her height makes it more likely that she will trip on herself or smack into doorways. She is so fast she often cannot keep up with herself and can go plummeting. She also is not great with more muscular opponents. She may have weapons, agility and muscles of her own but taller brutes are her downfall. And even smaller or petite foes can get the better of her thanks to their increased evasion. Freya also is self conscious about the scars on her person, so if one is exposed she will quickly go into a state of shock. Or she may fly into a blind rage towards the perpetrator which makes her far more predictable and stoppable in combat.
