  • Description

    Zer (IPA: /ziːɹ/ in Standard Arabic, or /zɪə̯/ in RP) (ZEER) Moneim-Sørensen (IPA: WIP [ˈsɶɐ̯ˀn̩sn̩]) has short pure white hair, tanned skin, and bright green eyes. They have two ring ear piercings on each lobe, and another ring piercing halfway up their right ear. They often wear a simple black shirt and trousers, a blue jumper, a green scarf, and blue Converses. Male Zer has a short and neatly trimmed white beard and moustache.

    The default used is male, but I don't care about making them female if wanted.

    Specific description of power: Can alter an organism's or object's individual time, but not Time itself. Ageing isn't just speeding up their cell metabolism and cell death, it's effectively putting Fast Forward and Rewind buttons on them, hence the ability to de-age and repair broken things as well.

    Strengths:
    • Can physically incapacitate enemies by making them into a baby or a decrepit geriatric (and return them back to normal when circumstances are more favourable).
    • Can restore degraded items to their peak quality.
    • Can reduce physical blockades to dirt.


    Weaknesses:
    • Need to physically touch the thing they wish to alter.
    • The longer an organism's lifespan, the more severe the side effect on Zer. Usually only uncomfortable, at worst is a 6/10 pain, but that's plenty of time for them to lose focus and be taken advantage of.
    • The more they alter things that give them side effects in a short time frame, they can become exhausted very quickly.
    • Can't alter the mental development of a sentient creature - only physical. So they can't create a functionally mature adult from a baby, nor can they cure age-related mental deterioration. He can stop the deterioration in its tracks by rejuvenating the neurones and synapses, but once parts of the personality itself are lost, they're lost forever.
    • The power only works on what's there. If there's a broken vase and a piece is missing, their power could rewind the rest of the vase into unshattered status, but it would have a chunk missing. The same goes for amputees or decomposed bodies - it can't rewind time on tissue that isn't there. Otherwise, that steps into Time territory.
