Enlistment Protocol

  All enlistees, supplementary personnel and transfers must familiarize themselves with the following form before being cleared for active duty.

  Each member of the 33rd legion must choose a designation (outlined on the next tab) and two custom traits. Though it's not required I strongly urge you to fill out the description field as well.
  
  As GM I ask that you think of this more as constructing a persona over creating a character for a game. With that in mind please consider custom traits that are conducive to roleplaying over those that are mechanically advantageous. As a rule of thumb--baring traits acquired over the course of the campaign--I will not accept the following traits:
  
  

  • Those that apply to every attack roll
  • Those that apply to a large body of possible actions
  • Those that are just a mechanical advantage unattached to your character thematically.

  
  When in doubt ask yourself these three questions:
  
  

  • Is this clever or interesting?
  • Will it make the game or my character more memorable?
  • Most importantly, who is my character as a person?

  
  Whilst this may seem restrictive at first it's quite the opposite, as a certain amount of fiat goes into my decisions of what is or is not allowed. Want to have a dog? Done. Short range jetpack? Sure. If it's cool and not just a +1 to winning I'll either accept it or offer an agreeable alternative in line with what you've asked.
