The personality she exudes is hardly what she considers a complete portrait of herself; outwardly, she's bold and says a lot careless things, unconcerned with whom she could possibly offend. • Biography

  Ange was not originally from Amberwood. She was born on Earth in the outskirts of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has no conscious memory of Earth however, as at only the ripe age of 3, her parents boarded the family on a ship capable of interplanetary travel. She spent the majority of her adolescence aboard the ship which they voluntarily inhabited. She was a curious youngster and was always asking tough questions, despite never getting the answers that she craved from those around her. Her family was far from perfect, but being young and oblivious worked to her advantage for the most part. It took until her pre-teens for their faults to become clear enough that they affected her.
  
  Her father had an addictive personality and was on and off drugs. He was also resistant to change and staunchly clung to outdated, closed-minded beliefs. He never pushed those beliefs onto his daughter, but he didn't entertain her inquisitiveness either. Her mother was no better, if not worse; she grew to care very little for the well-being of her daughter at all. The final member of her family was a much older, bipolar brother who continuously caused trouble, but was granted immunity for reasons that were never clear. When Ange was 13, her mother left to start a new family. She didn't shed a single tear when her mother left, and maintains that it didn't bother her at all.
  
  It was by Ange's own hand that she discovered a love for intricate workings of the universe. She buried herself in her own self-imposed studies and adored every moment. She was destined to be a lifelong student, learning about everything and anything that interested her. Consequently, she was isolated from everyone but her family, leaving her emotionally apathetic and socially starved. For the majority of her life she had no actual responsibilities or duties that she was held accountable for, aside from those she gave herself. Some would call it blissful, but it left Ange inept and unfathomably lazy when it comes to things that she would rather not do.
  
  After spending most of her life in an environment that could barely be considered a healthy one, Ange, her father, and her brother settled on Amberwood soon after she turned 16. It was business as usual at first, and she remained mostly secluded inside her new and still dysfunctional home. One year later, when she was 17, she got word that the most prominent of her heros, Carl Sagan, had moved to Amberwood. Ange didn't know where she could meet him, and that encouraged her to leave her home for long periods of time to stroll about the city, waiting for them to conveniently cross paths. It wasn't too long before a meeting happened, and after several long and enlightening conversations, she became his apprentice of sorts. From that point on, she barely returned home.
