Anthemis is incredibly shy around strangers, and will hesitate to approach or to allow them to touch him, but he also warms to new individuals quickly once he's over his initial nerves, if they give him time to adjust. once he's confident, his curious nature comes out: Anthemis wants to know and understand as much as possible, and is filled with questions about anything and everything he sees and hears.
as a Celestial, Anthemis is immensely intelligent. he delights in learning and is capable of picking up new languages at a rapid speed, as well as committing new poems or stories to memory swiftly.

appearance
an otherwise pure white dragon, Anthemis has blue scales at the edges of his wings. as a young dragon, his features give a sense of roundness, and his scales remain soft to the touch. once he's older, his features will become more pointed and sharp. his eyes are a soft blue, sweet and trusting.

born with a serious leg injury and no hope of recovery, Anthemis' front leg was amputated within a few hours of birth, to give him the best chances of adapting to the change. it seems to bother him very little; he possesses apparently boundless energy, and is often seen frolicking about with great confidence and enthusiasm. he seems to almost perpetually be smiling.

he greatly enjoys flying, and is effortlessly elegant in flight, with his wings spread majestically wide and his legs pulled in close to his body. for his size, he is able to attain quite a swift speed. his take-offs and landings are at times a little awkward and jerky, due to his missing leg. however, as an adult a prosthetic leg is created for him, once he has reached his fully-grown size, which allows him to make these manoeuvre more smoothly.
