Early Life
Arius Ferox M.D., (so far universally referred to as Doc' or Arius) was born in Albion, Olde World. One possible birthday is July the 7th, year unknown (according to her birth certification). Another is October 11, according to her Travel Documents as well as the sheets of information she provides when soliciting for a new job. She's an only child of esteemed researches who had dedicated their lives to being Doctors of Medicine.
As her parents served on active duty through most of Arius's childhood and adolescence, Arius has lived in a variety of countries, such as Aegypt, The Alemanish States and Katenga. As a result, Arius is able to speak multiple languages and also claims to be able to read and write in them. Additionally, she has some knowledge of several others, but it is unknown how much of these languages she knows.
Arius was obviously a bright child, a mixed blessing as her harshly demanding father and enabling mother obviously had high hopes for her. She cultivated a variety of interests, such as chemistry and herbalism. However, it appears that her isolation from others her age led her to become something of a loner. She had no real friends growing up which more than likely added to her awkward-social behaviour. Her strict teachings, her freedom of societal values and rituals left her without common knowledge and practice and thus her social and worldly skills are a bit lacking in certain areas.
It was during her visit to a make-shift Katengan clinic in her early teens that Arius met a mask-bearing dishevelled-looking fursona appearing to be a hermit who was a great medical practitioner in the entire clinic. She later discovered the fursona was a travelling plague doctor who made it his mission to seek out the 'untouchables' in his attempt to cure and prevent plagues in these small hamlets // villages. Arius would say this would have been the primary motivation behind her choice to become a doctor, noting that when all else failed, they could still heed her advice despite her awkward social behaviour. The family remained there longer than intended as Arius soaked in all what this plague doctor could give. And when it was time to return home he gave her his plague mask which she still uses to this very day.
Upon returning to Albion in her late teenage years, Arius went to school to become a Doctor in Medicine, specializing in areas so that she can travel the world. -
