Death can be just as eternal, for there is no death without one having lived beforehand. When Artume was a young girl, she had always found a deep fascination with death. She would hide the bones of animals to decompose then reconstruct them and attend all funerals of her clan. The older she got, the more she developed an excellent affinity for funerary care for her clan and became so renowned for her services that even a court sought her out for the honour of sending on their King.

Her own death at the young age of 25 was no accident. A cult of life and celebration, offended by the sudden rumours that this woman was a speaker to the dead that dirtied what they preached sought some form of vengeance for her sullied soul and Artume was poisoned by her own house servant. In dying however, her soul found it's way to the plane of the beyond only to be met by an entity of death who returned her to life. Her body frozen and effectively reanimated but with a new purpose. Artume had been so faithful and devoted to ensuring the dead were cared for, that death itself gave her a second chance with supernatural powers to boot. Slowly over time she has found she is capable of not only reanimating bodies but raising the very dead itself. Something of course, she does with utmost care and attention.

Her personality since however has shifted. While still coming off as isolated and introverted, she is actually quite the opposite. Mortality is a fleeting thing that kept her shut in but with newfound unexplored freedom, Artume has made a bid to engage more with the living. She is still very calm, reserved and sombre. To see her temperament flare or for her happiness to extend beyond a classy smile would be something truly outrageous. She has become very much a dignified lady who would sooner converse over wine and cheese.

• Old members of her original clan would speak of a blonde, almost albino girl with green eyes talking to the skeletons of dead mice. They might not recognise Artume.

• The cult of life seemed to dissipate with her Resurrection, their bodies never found. People talk of an army of dead coming for vengeance, lead by a raven haired woman with wicked powers.

Fortitude: Being technically dead has it's perks. Artume's constitution and body can handle much more than any mere mortal. Her stomach can digest most things others cant and she can withstand blows that would knock over an elephant. Her strength and fast healing is highly comparable to that of a vampire.

Mind: Artume is immune to a lot of mind effecting abilities, another factor of this is that she does not dream. Tricks that play on emotions, thoughts, visions etc all have no effect on her. The caster should roleplay that they can see a block or a barrier of some kind. Perhaps even retaliation that instead the caster is given visions of their own graphic death.

Talking with Souls: Being a necromancer with a sliver of the power of death, Artume is able to commune with the dead. It costs her a fair amount of energy and she may only do so on one target at a time. This allows her to speak to a 'fresh' soul and ask basic questions for roughly 10 minutes.

Resurrection: It is entirely plausible for Artume to resurrect an immediately fresh body. Someone who has died literally at her feet. There are side effects involved, a d20 will be rolled for each player she does this for with deciding consequences. This ability cuts the receivers life by a dice roll determined amount. The bigger the creature, the bigger the penalties on both Artume and the receiver as it is a heavy strain of power.

Raising the Dead: For a short period of time, Artume can animate up to 3 medium to small bodies irregardless of how long they have been dead. They will act accordingly depending on the main occupation the dead body filled it's life up with. For example, a slave will obey her every command and will try and perform household tasks while a pirate may be much more rogue and begin trying to craft or draw weaponry.

Sight and Scent of Death: Artume can see restless spirits and she is very aware when someone is actually dead. The smell is also something that lingers on those who are close to death in some way. She is no exorcist however and cannot send the undead away that she has not summoned/awakened herself or those who do not wish to be present for their own funeral.
