OOC clarification: Avalar avoids using the term thrall for slaves unlike most patrons of the Golden Tether as it has a different meaning usually when used by vampires. As a vampire's thrall is rather different from merely a normally enslaved person, so he has no wish for his meaning to be misunderstood.
