• The look.

  Standing at an impressive seven and a half feet tall, Bela has a deep gray, freckled complexion and natural hair usually pulled back into braids adorned with feathers. His many piercings (including a brand in the skin of his throat) are iron and stainless.
  His physique shows all of the signs of regular physical activity— it isn’t hard to build up muscle when one wields a weapon the weight of two men. Still, he is a little soft around the edges due to his unfortunate drinking habits.

• The memories.

  Bela can only recall small details of his early years: being raised by two parents who definitely weren’t Qunari, his adopted sibling Aetha, and a strange love of the sea.
  Always an overachiever when it came to battle, he outshined his peers in most physical aspects, but fell behind in academics due to lack of interest.
  Bela’s given last name surely wasn’t “Adaar,” but he chose it the day he left the house in search of adventure; after just a few hours out of town, he managed to slay a wyvern on his own. He joined a mercenary company soon after, but all of those memories are little more than a blur of blood and steel to him.
