  The Past

  He was born on December 24, 1922.
  
  He joined the BLU team, originally as a Spy. His records show that he was recruited on July 27th, 1962, supposedly after the death (or just the report of being MIA) of Andrew Kelly; AKA the team's Sniper, presumably recruited in 1957 and found starved to death in the hidden chamber of an abandoned granary far from the base in mid-July of 1967.
  
  It is unknown when he switched to Medic. Evidence suggests that it was right before the RED team's previous Spy, known by him as Émile, lost a significant portion of his body. That is to say, all of it.
  
  It is unknown exactly when, but he taught himself French through the use of books. His pronunciation is sloppy, but he knows a great deal of words, suggesting that he's been studying for a long time and just never really practiced out loud with a native speaker before. (Or said practice was way too scarce.)
  
  The majority of his family died during WWII, with the exception of an uncle whose name he has not given. He said that he changed his name because of that uncle.
  
  Because of this, he often seems much more hostile (Or depressed. It really depends on who's talking.) whenever the war is mentioned, and whenever someone asks about his name or family. Topics pertaining to his religion may also have this effect. His team's current half-Australian Spy seems to be able to sense this kind of hostility and flees at the moment he senses it.
  
  Émile is said to have mentioned the above usually-taboo topics more than Glen cares to remember.
  
  Sometime during his career, he earned special weapons privileges. Known special weapons are the Dead Ringer and the Cloak and Dagger, both of which he gave away to people he considers his 'weaknesses' or his 'comrades'. This is not necessarily a bad thing for him to consider them; in his mind, he needs to guard his biggest weaknesses so that he will seem as if he is impossible to defeat.

  Meeting The Spies

  Off-Screen: He and seven other members of BLU were found and attacked. Six were killed. Glen felt the enemy's needle hit his back, but only feigned death. During this time, the Spy was absent, pretending to be the RED Demoman in order to capture the other team's intelligence.

  
  

  Meeting The Medic

  Dale found him practicing his, erm, 'hobby' on the corpses of his former teammates. Worst first impression ever. After being asked what happened, Glen explained that each member of BLU was killed with a weapon similar to their own. The Soldier with a rocket launcher, the Demoman with alcohol, the Sniper by headshot, etc. However, he did not recall who did it, only that there was a conspiracy. He wondered about Jacques' fate, and was told that Jacques was still alive. He couldn't say that he wasn't relieved.
  
  After finding out that the Scout did not care about any conspiracy, he made up a lie about the conspiracy being the fault of aliens. That got Dale to be at least motivated enough to care a little.
  
  He was escorted to the RED Base at gunpoint. Shortly after he entered, he admitted that he lied and noticed that his own teammate was hiding from him. The Soldier did not believe that the alien part was a lie, and he was assigned to getting information from Glenda. Well, he got his information. Glen wouldn't stop talking to him as long as he was downstairs. That got those two to hit it off.
  
  But before that, he warned of the Administrator's last resort; Saxton Hale.

  
  

  The Makeshift Base

  He followed the group to an abandoned granary in the middle of nowhere, where an insult from Jacques having to do with an assumption having to do with his nationality nearly got him out of control. That is the point where he revealed that he was, in fact, Jewish.
  
  After this, he stayed downstairs, attempting to calm himself down.
  
  Then the body of a long-dead Andrew Kelly came down on the back of a haughty Frenchman.

  Vs. RED Soldier

  
  When he was first captured, he was supposed to be interrogated by the RED Soldier. This backfired and they hit it off instead. It turned out that those two had much more in common than anyone thought; They were both really fucking insane.
  
  However, the RED Spy, Rémi, spent more and more time with the captured members of BLU than anyone else. This caused the Soldier to become paranoid that his teammate had betrayed him. This lead to their "Batshit Crazy Contest".
  
  After being called for, the Medic threatened the RED Soldier with a needle that he said was full of a powerful paralytic when the Soldier had threatened the man he thought betrayed the team. At that time, he was fully prepared to be shot down and killed. However, the Soldier folded, and the medication was injected-- and revealed to be a vaccine for influenza.

  At a later confrontation, he told the Soldier that he had surrendered (Which wasn't a total lie). Knowing the man's paranoid nature, he knew that he would have to lose something in order to gain protection. At the suggestion of waterboarding in order to prove his trustworthiness, he dismissed that method as overly "time-consuming" and that if it were him, he would have just threatened to cut something off, or out, of someone's body. The Soldier took that as a suggestion and subsequently demanded that he lose a finger.
  
  His demeanor after this demand could mostly be described as "laid-back". However, a healthy amount of anger bubbled in him as well. For the time being, he hid it well. He offered the ring finger on his right hand without an ounce of fear. This surprised the Soldier, who expected him to fold or jerk away as soon as the tip of his shovel touched the joint. Neither of those things happened. In exchange for the protection of his so-thought 'weaknesses', he lost an appendage.
  
  He stated that if the Soldier were to ever break off their deal, or upset him in any other way, he would not hesitate to go for the kill. In truth, he would not kill the Soldier if that happened; Death would be too lenient.
  
  He did not want that finger back. To him, it was as if he was going back on a promise. All he used for medication was a dose of morphine and a dispenser.
