• Appearance

  The Drow male had a enigmatic allure that attracted people's attention on entering a room. He was taller than the average drow, standing at 5'11. He had shiny silver hair down to his shoulders, framing his obsidian skinned face with his pointy ears poking through. His yellow eyes scanned the room like a predator seeking prey. His attire had many unusual features, including three leather belt like collars around his neck, but this man was not a slave. He wore a long scarlet coat with a golden spider pattern and metal shoulder pads attached to the coat by spider pins. He wore similar metal elbow pads and on his wrists were leather vambraces with a spider pattern. Beneath his coat was a silk blood red shirt with a white spider web weaved into the fabric. Following the same trend, he wore expensive silk trousers and fine leather shoes. This man had expensive tastes and they all appeared to be spider based.

  Little did people know, his appearance was all an illusion. He was not as he appeared. Beneath the illusion was a scarred and burnt face from the torture the Elves inflicted on him. His face was no longer the polished ebony colour it once was, instead it was paled in parts where the skin had been burnt away. Not wanting to be the ugly person the Elves had turned him into, he enchanted the amulet that was keeping him alive, to make himself appear as he once did.

• History

  Daechir was raised on the surface, which is unusual for a Drow. He was found as a baby by an Elven Family. Where most elven families would have cast him out, they took him and raised him as their own. Daechir's adopted mother was a powerful sorcerer, so she taught him magic from a young age. By the time Daechir was a teen, he could already cast a large range of complex spells that some experienced sorcerers struggled with.
  
  When Daechir became an adult, his magical expertise had became well known throughout the city, so much so that the king wanted him to be his personal sorcerer. Daechir accepted and before long he had a stable job investigating magic.
  
  It all changed when he fell in love with an elven woman called Nesiwyn. Nesiwyn and Daechir dated for a short time, before the Elves found out. The Elves hate for Drow took over and they attempted to kill Daechir for wanting to marry an elf.
  
  Daechir was attacked. He tried to defend himself but there were too many. In the heat of the battle, he accidentally killed Nesiwyn. Daechir was captured and then beaten and tortured, then the elves burnt his face and body to stop him being attractive to elven women. He was then poisoned using a poisonous spider by the elves to die a painful death. The poison had no known cure, which meant that Daechir was sure to die, but he knew enough about magic to be able to suppress the poison, but it would be painful. Daechir used a sharp stone to carve sigils into his chest to act as the focus for the magic.
  
  Using the enchantment from the sigils, he could slow down the poison. Despite his best efforts, the poison still began to kill him. It would be a couple of years before he died.
  
  He researched ways to stay alive and found a spell to place the soul elsewhere to prevent death. He extracted his soul and placed it into a phylactery, making him a Lich. This made the poison useless because he couldn't be killed. He then cast his phylactery far across the lands, hiding it where no one would look.
  
  Through his research, he learnt how to perform powerful dark magic. He then used the dark magic to destroy the entire town that wronged him in the past. He killed every single person in anger and then levelled the entire town to rubble.
  
  He now roams the world in search of power and knowledge. Due to the poison that nearly killed him being a spider, he wears spider based clothing to remind himself of why he needs to keep searching for power. Daechir hated himself for killing Nesiwyn, so he swore to use his power to bring her back to life. Currently all he has found are spells to animate her body, but he hasn't found a way to bring her back as he knew her.

• Personality

  Daechir used to be a kind and polite man, but his near death experience and the death of his loved one drove him mad. He has an incredible lust for power and a cruel and vicious rage. If someone gets in his way, he won't hesitate to destroy them in the most vicious and unimaginable ways. He is considered evil by most, but he has a hole deep inside him where love used to be.
  
  Daechir has a biting wit and uses it to distance himself from others. If someone gets too close to him, he will push them away out of fear of getting hurt again. He hides his emotions for the most part, but when he is angry, he will unleash his rage in the most destructive ways possible. Mostly, he keeps his emotions bottled up, where they constantly torture his mind.
  
  Now, he sees people as his tools and ways to achieve his goals. He is not above manipulating people to make them do what he wants. He is very good at making deals with people, giving them something they want in return for something he wants. He is very tactical and most of his moves are due to some big plan he has to get what he wants most, Power. He lies and tricks people to achieve his means and once he has got what he wants, he will cast them aside. Despite this, if he gets angry enough, he can slip up and make mistakes, leaving him vulnerable.
  
  He is very cynical and sarcastic. He will very often tell people what he thinks of them to their face. He has a sadistic streak and enjoys terrorising others. He is very intelligent, so he is often planning and calculating scenarios to get the one he wants. He constantly anticipates attack from everyone, meaning he is not easily surprised if someone attacks him. If someone is kind to him, he often questions their motives and doesn't trust them.

  Dark Magic

  • Very skilled at dark magic and curses
  • Very skilled at blood magic.
    • Can make a persons blood boil
    • Can freeze someone in place using blood magic. If someone is especially strong mentally and/or physically, they could resist it and eventually break free.
    • Can craft incredibly powerful curses if he has any of their blood.
    • Can seal something to his own blood, making it so someone has a harder time breaking into it. An extremely powerful sorcerer could break this seal and if they possess his blood, they can cast a spell to break it.

  • He's especially skilled at fire magic
  • Can other elemental magic to some degree, but isn't as proficient at it.

  Resistance to Magic

  • Magic has to be significantly more powerful to cause him any harm

  Lich

  • Due to his soul being placed in a phylactery, he is essentially a lich.
  • If he is injured, he will heal himself in a few hours
  • He cannot be killed. If he receives a killing blow, it'll likely render him unconscious for a few hours and then he'll be resurrected again.
  • He doesn't age
  • Poison and disease doesn't affect him.
  • If someone possesses his phylactery, they can order him to do anything.
  • If his phylactery is destroyed, he will be as vulnerable as anyone else and the poison inside him will slowly kill him.
  • Any injuries will heal instantly, but they will be inflicted again if his phylactery is destroyed.

  Soul Magic

  • Can snatch people's souls from their body and mould it into a crystal.
  • Crushing the crystal will kill them. Lightly squeezing it will cause them pain
  • Holding the crystal will give him control over the person whose soul it is.
  • He can only take their soul if they are weakened or unable to resist, i.e. restrained.
  • If the owner crushes the crystal, their soul will return to their body.
  • He can sense people's souls. He can detect if they are corrupted or not, i.e. being able to tell if they are pure of heart or corrupt.
