Caspian grew up in a noble household, the eldest sibling of nine. He trained under his father to manage the estate and the people who they watched over, though he took a gentler approach than Caspian III. Caz (as his people know him) spent his younger years getting to know those who lived on his lands, becoming friends with the locals and hearing about their issues and requests. Caz was only sixteen when his father died, and his Uncle helped guide him as he took over the estate until he turned eighteen. Caz became particularly invested in helping to ease the burden of the farmers, who he considered the backbone of Woodrest. He secured marriages for some of his younger siblings, and sent others off to school. Two of the youngest remained at the Estate, and act as a council for Caz and handle disputes and issues while the elf is traveling.


Despite having anything he could want at home, Caspian eventually grew restless and started to take on adventures so he might see the things discussed in his books in person. He spent a few decades traveling on his own, managing his estate through letters and quarterly visits. During this time he met many faces, made a few friends and quite a few more enemies, and enjoyed a taste of a rebellious streak. In his lifetime he's covered quite a bit of the globe, though there's still places he hasn't been to that he intends to one day cross off his list. His exploration slowed quite a bit after he met his husband.
