• Personality The result of force-funneling one's eager, youthful self away in grieving and never letting it see the sun. Unsure of himself as much as he is others due to a childhood of bullying among other traumas, he goes through most of life filled with doubt. Not believing in much, he doesn't bother keeping up the appearance that he has faith in anything. Pessimist and incredulous when it comes to life, asking for solitude. Seemingly confident in his self-sufficiency, he is secretly afraid of one day being at a loss to the outside world because of how easily he cuts himself off from it. His sometimes reckless behavior and decisions are fueled by his lack of foresight into consequences and responsibility. Finds more comfort in projects than people aside from Lull, an exception, a retrieved treasure, and a guiding dark star. With a natural potential for kindness, he was easily so sweet all-around once, something he likes to forget in favor of turning colder. However, it is exhausting to be so bitter and he is trying to grow back again in a bit of lavender light.

  Appearance Average in height and not quite otter-bodied, Declan's frame refuses to let him keep too much meat or muscle on his bones. He's crooked to look at head-on, constantly shifting his weight around on his feet so that his shoulders are always a tilted scale. Past his left bicep, the arm is metal, a fairly smooth transition from flesh to silver aside from a ring of dark scarring where the two parts meet. It functions almost seamlessly, despite each mechanical muscle contraction being a subtle pull at Del's magic reserve. To mirror the dedicated callouses on his other hand, the metal fingertips are textured with small grooves and bumps. His clothing style is comfortable, the habit of wearing ill-fitting shirts to combat dysphoria has faded and he relishes in the satisfaction of even just a plain, fitted tee, usually some kind olive green or warm-tone. An opalite pendant often hangs from his neck to focus his energy, direct his magic more clearly than days where he wears some other talisman or nothing at all.
