  The father she never met. She knows pitifully little of him; having only his letter and what her mother told her to go on. For all intents and purposes, he was a noble German mercenary who died of one too many poisonings shortly before or after her birth. Though people say you can't miss what you've never had, Delysia is constantly seeking a father figure... oftentimes to the detriment of her relationship with Draum.

  
  

  Rosamond Sophia Oliver

  
  The mother. They were fairly close whilst Delysia was growing up and after the death of her younger daughter, Rosamond moved to Etla to be close to her remaining family. She feels a certain sympathy for her mother, having lost her love (naturally, that would be Ignatz) so soon... but she was always aware of how their lifestyle was funded, and though Rosamond was a courtesan and not a 'common whore', she still feels a deep sense of shame in her mother's profession, and strives to be as different from her as possible... which includes maintaining an impeccable reputation! And, incidentally, an over-sensitivity to people's perceptions of her.

  The younger half-sister, named after a close friend of their mother. Serica's father was always a mystery their mother refused to divulge, but only two years apart in age, they were quite close growing up, and shared many experiences. Unfortunately, on her way to pay Delysia a visit in January [xx16], Serica was murdered.

  [rpr] Draum met Delysia at an interesting time -- just when she was convinced she was an unlovable whore and would die a virgin, a determined snow leopard appeared and was undeterred from offering an ear even when she pointed an arrow at him! Eventually, she took him up on the offer to have a chat... and the chat turned into a friendship, which morphed into love. Draum eased her reliance on drugs, and Delysia taught him that love does exist -- an equal trade. They've been through a lot together -- miscarriages, disagreements, and troublemakers, to name a few -- but have somehow managed to clear their secondthird anniversary, still enamoured with one another.

  [rpr] An underfed teenage wolf Delysia and Draum met at Etla's stage in the summer of xx16. Though initially reluctant to accept help, over time he moved into the Snowe's house and in addition to helping out around the home, became a great favourite with their daughter! Now he's like their own son, though not much younger than his 'parents'... and despite his age and lack of actual 'orphan' status, they've officially adopted him. Though Delysia didn't give birth to him, she might as well have; she did her best to instill much-needed confidence and self-worth in the young male... and lately has begun wondering if she might have overdone it! Despite the attitude shift, however, she continues to love him like a son and does her best to support his wishes and hopes, whilst weathering the teenage tantrums.

  
  

  → Iscah Sophia Snowe

  
  [rpr] Born 27 February [xx16]. After countless miscarriages, a tea from a friend-turned-enemy helped Delysia carry Iscah to term. Though she was born early due to an over-abundance of stress and is still rather small for her age, she's otherwise healthy and happy... to Delysia's intense relief! Her firstborn is the light of her life, and fortunately seems to possess a sunny disposition; otherwise she would likely be completely spoiled by her parents.

  [rpr] [jessamyne] Born 30 October [xx16]. Conceived courtesy of Ameera's fertili-tea, which might, perhaps, have been a bit too strong! The twins are completely identical, to Delysia's delight and initial confusion -- fortunately, as they've grown, they've revealed themselves to be as different as night and day. They're almost as spoiled as Iscah, though Draum clearly has a favourite...!

  [rpr] Born 19 April [xx17]. Delysia and Draum's firstborn son. His personality seems to be a happy combination of their three daughters -- no genius like Iscah or social butterfly like Jessamyne, but also not a complete hermit like Elanor! Though kitnapped by his grandfather in September xx17, the ordeal doesn't seem to have caused any lingering effects; he remains an easy-going, happy kit.

  [rpr] Found outside the Kingsrill tavern in the summer of [xx15], Delysia and Draum allowed the minidrake to build a nest on their patio... and somehow, he just became part of the family! He came with them to Etla, and though Draum is clearly his favourite, Delysia still has a fondness for their pet.

  A fleabitten-grey horse Draum purchased for Delysia for Candlemas xx16. She's kept at the stables, and Delysia makes it a point to have a weekly ride.

  Delysia certainly never thought she would come to consider a King a friend, but though they've only come across one another a handful of times, each time he's been perfectly polite and friendly. He enchanted the Snowe's wedding rings, and also approved their entrance into the nobility of the island.

  Fellow councilmember, neighbor, and father to two adorable kits. Delysia is sorry for all the trouble her family has caused the tigon, but she's grateful for his friendship.

  Though their initial introduction in Kingsrill wasn't promising -- in fact, it was downright insulting! -- since running across one another in Etla, Ameera and Delysia have become close friends... so close, in fact, Delysia has come to consider the doe a sister, and thus, views herself as an unofficial aunt to the femme's own twins.

  Delysia doesn't understand why, but ever since meeting the margay in the summer of xx16, their relationship has been plagued by ups and downs. To be sure, the leopardess has to smother a strong urge to mother the slightly younger femme... but in reality, all she wants is for Lavena to be happy and safe.

  A strange tale. Delysia befriended her murderous likeness in spite of Kali's frequent odd behavior; chalking up her coldness to a need to be loved. It was thanks to the other leopardess that Iscah came to be, and at one point, they were close enough that Delysia considered them like sisters. When Kali murdered Serica and gifted her tail to Delysia, however... she knew everything Rexington had told them was true -- and it broke her heart. "I loved her... why didn't it fix her?"

  "Basil" / "Phillip" (Snapper Chum)

  
  A strange fellow, to be sure. Originally met in Valewood, where he called himself "Basil", the Snowe's have run into him in Etla as well, though now he's known as "Phillip" and seems to have taken a strong dislike to the snow leopard family! Delysia is baffled as to what they did to offend him so, but is rather reluctant to pester the male and find out. His drake, Mewnecka, also seems to have developed a bit of a crush on their poor minidrake.

  The widow of one of Draum's bank guards, she initially moved to Etla to help care for Iscah. Currently, however, she's the "night matron" of Safe Haven Orphanage.

  A youngish raccoon couple. Lief can be found guarding the Snowe home, whilst Maria does general cleaning and occasionally looks after the kits.
