    • This is why Demitri butchers everything he says verbally. Every Illithid's mouth looks like this, according to D&D standards, a very Taxxon-like array of teeth with no tongue or lips, making enunciation difficult. Very good for puncturing a hole through a
    • His skin is highly reminiscent to this kind of skin. Though the head has changed color to match, it was not part of the original anthro's body that he stole, so the squid portion does not envenom on touch.
    • This is the general stance that Demitri uses, rather than a more beastly and aggressive pose. He is very delicate in that regard, legs normally tucked close together, back rigid, arms always folded at his front or back. Dignified would be the term.

    "Oh, aye. He was here only a day ago," the bartender grunted, squinting out of his crinkly, beady old eyes at the hooded man with the sword. He was swiping at the bartop with a ratty-looking cloth as he spoke, removing the spilled mead from a tankard knocked over by the brawl presently trembling the tavern floor.

    Oblivious, the hooded man only leaned forward and rested the fingertips of his gauntlet upon the hilt of his sword. He was positively itching to do some monster hunting. "Can you describe him to me? Did you see anything?" came the man's eager voice. The smaller figure at his side was scribbling voraciously at a scroll of parchment, recording the events as they transpired.

    "Ar!" retorted the barman. "Happened right over there, by them windows. Big, tall figure he was. Standin' straight as a pole, nearly scrapin' 'is head on the ceilin', covered in a hangin' black cloak with glowin' eyes an' a bo staff. Wasn't rilleh good at hidin' 'mself, if ya ask me. No magic at all. I woulda thunk he do some illusiony tricks, maybe. Begh...

    "But 'e turned on that fellow damn quick, like a cat with 'is tail got stamped on. Don't even know what caused it! One moment he was keepin' to himself. Next, I saw a nest'a tentacles like somethin' outta hell itself, dark blue and spotty, an' his hood fell off. Looked like someone stuck a damn squid on his shoulders. Wrapped a tentacle around his neck, started stranglin', two others popped in his ears and mouth, started tearin' his skull apart like it were a walnut. Then I did see him bite the top of that skull, he did, tore a bloody mess clear off. Last tentacle went in... came out with a brain.

    "The wenches were screamin', the men runnin' around, drunkards not sure what ta do... by the time anyone was in arms, that son of a bitch took off through the window and was gallopin' off down the road like some kind a giant cricket. Woulda laughed if I didn't see him feast on some man's melon. By the time the guards were alerted, he was gone... no idea where he went, besides that way." The bartender pointed with one pudgy finger out towards the window.

    The hooded man turned to see the direction indicated, and then reached to grab his fellow, hastening to get away from the bar and make for the door. Before he reached it, a coin was flipped in the bartender's direction. "A good tavern owner never fails with good information. Fare the well, sir! I'll bring him in pieces back to the town!" He whipped out the door, and the next day, the town was papered with a new Wanted sign with warnings of a lone Illithid on the loose.
