Ethus Zherrakir

Ethus is a tall, fair-skinned individual that looks, by any measure, to be human. However, he is actually a bronze dragon in human form!

The problem is, he's forgotten how to change back into his dragon form... It's not that he's a little dim-witted (though he can be on occasion), he's just been through a lot and lost the knowledge. He's pretty happy being a human, though. He's very strong, compassionate, fun-loving, and always looking for a good fight.

As a dragon, Ethus hails from Argonnessen, the near-legendary homeland of all dragons. His parents, members of a highly-respected family, ensured that he had received the best combat training available, despite his less-than-academic mindset. They had recognized, from an early age, that his talents lay squarely within the martial arts. Being of high prominence, Ethus' parents knew that they would one day be called on to put their child forward into service as scout, scouring the mainland - populated with all manner of other beings, such as humans, halflings, dwarves, elves, kobolds, orcs, knolls - to search for lost parts of the Prophecy, as is the duty of all well-regarded dragonfolk.

Ethus, being more adventurous than bright, ventured far from home, and found wonder and joy in the things he found. He delighted in ales and spirits, lost countless hours in the arms of females of several species, fought in arena pits across the land. Sadly, when he'd felt that he'd spent enough time trying to fit into the populace, he'd forgotten the ritual required to change from his human form and back into his true dragon self. He despaired, but nevertheless tried searching for pieces of the Prophecy where he could.

Sadly, most traces of the Prophecy lay in libraries and private collections, none of which were of interest to Ethus, since he was disinterested in reading musty old books. He figured that when he ran across something important, he'd know it.

In the meantime, he continues to roam the lands, seeking adventure and companionship.
