    I died on my 18th birthday.

    Correction: I wanted to die. I was ready. Overcome by plague, weakness and a lonely heart, I was ready to succumb. But then a nurse stepped in; she decided my heart was worth saving, and I knew only this life.

    This thirst.

    I think it would have been less painful to die, than to be reborn into this monstrosity. I should be greatful... for a while, I was just that. Until I was deemed unworthy, and left to die all over again.

    This time, I wanted to live. I wanted the hunt.

    The desire for revenge keeps me young, keeps my dead heart like stone. Will I succeed? I do not know.
