  chaos spirits come from the same 'family' as ghosts, phantoms, demons and elementals, in that they are sentient collections of force, intent, and raw primal energy; in this case, chaos energy and enough raw willpower to hold a form until they gain consciousness and a personality. these spirits are notorious for being able to hop between realms and dimensions with an almost enviable amount of ease; not to mention their shapeshifting and adaptation abilities, which are the hallmarks of chaos magic. chaos spirits are usually found fulfilling the promise of their name by upsetting dimensional boundaries and 'doing the impossible', popping up where they shouldn't be, and giving credence to an inordinate amount of myths and folklore. (elemental theorists believe that many 'trickster gods' were actually just chaos spirits having a jolly good time.) chaos spirits are harmed immensely by logic spells and the presence of logic creatures, much like demons are harmed by the presence of holy magics and beings.
  
  chaos spirits are classified by how well and how long they can hold a coherent form. stage 1 spirits change forms rapidly and irregularly, and hold only the most basic form of sentience. stage 2 spirits have a number of set forms they switch between, and hold what most other sentients could term a 'personality', though it is often an unstable one. stage 3 are the most advanced chaos spirits, and usually hold a single 'base' form, which they remain in constantly and return to after shapeshifting. stage 3 spirits also have a set personality, likes, dislikes, and can hold a steady thought process.

  chaotic good

  A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard for what others expect of him. He makes his own way, but he's kind and benevolent.
