I'm not going to make you read three of four pages worth of useless, bullshit rules. What's listed here is simply what I find necessary in my experiences on Furcadia. Just read through these simple points before we RP and we should be golden.
And I'm really much, much nicer than these snappy little rules make me seem, I promise! ♥
﹤﹤﹤﹤ grammar ﹥﹥﹥﹥Please be able to spell and produce sentences that are at least somewhat accurate. Too many typographical errors wreck my muse. But I don't expect you to be a thesaurus abuser. In fact, I typically prefer that you're not.﹤﹤﹤﹤ true identity ﹥﹥﹥﹥Your character won't automatically know Avery's identity or true sex. It ruins the fun for me as a player. If you want them to know, discuss it with me OOCly first, please! I'm not above allowing it if it will make for a good plot!﹤﹤﹤﹤ sexual rp ﹥﹥﹥﹥If it happens in a longterm plot line, sure. Otherwise, don't expect it. Avery staunchly hides her sex, thus even though she can flirt with the best of them, sex is usually either a rare lapse of judgment or with those who manage to get very close.﹤﹤﹤﹤ setting ﹥﹥﹥﹥Avery is Game of Thrones inspired and thus, somewhat medieval fantasy based. Your character doesn't necessarily have to be GoT inspired or medieval, though. She can also easily be played with Victorian, Steampunk, semi-modern, etc characters!
﹤﹤﹤﹤ initiating rp ﹥﹥﹥﹥If you want to RP with me, please whisper me and just ask straight-up! I'm painfully shy and don't whisper first, usually. Likewise, I can be pretty dense. So if you want to roleplay, a straightforward 'Do you want to RP?' will get a lot further than a subtle 'Nice character!'.﹤﹤﹤﹤ ic / ooc ﹥﹥﹥﹥Please don't mix them. My thoughts OOC are not Avery's IC, and vice versa. Likewise, leave your obsessive 'You have to RP with me and only me 24/7' stuff at the door. I'm not limiting myself to RPing her with only one person, though priority is given to those involved in a longterm story lines with her. I also have other active characters that I sometimes feel like RPing more.﹤﹤﹤﹤ whisper friendly ﹥﹥﹥﹥I am so whisper friendly that it hurts. Seriously. Feel free to chat to me whether you want to RP or not! Just please refrain from doing the whole creepy ;touches, ;gropes, ;kisses stuff. I'm spoken for by another furcadia player, and thusly not interested in whatever creepy ooc flirting you're throwing my way.
﹤﹤﹤﹤ ooc drama ﹥﹥﹥﹥While I practically live off of IC drama, OOC drama is another beast entirely. It pains me that addressing this up front is so necessary in a roleplay environment in which we are all supposed to be adults and not petty high school students.
Simply put, I'm not going to tolerate it. Did I roleplay with someone you don't like? Deal with it. Did I talk to someone that you don't like? Deal with it. If Avery or I do something that you don't like OOCly, please talk to me reasonably about it before you either whisper everyone behind my back or fly off the handle at me. And for the love of God and cute, fluffy kittens, don't expect me to join in on your bullshit gossip about other players. It's immature, stupid, and you need a good slap upside the head. If you end up being a source of drama, I will write you out of my RP without a moment's notice. You've been warned.
