• Description

  Before you stands a Centaur, Half man half horse. He bares the body of a horse but where its neck and head would be is a mans upper torso. The fur of his lower half is a brown color and is soft to the touch, his torso of course that exactly like that of a normal human male, well muscled, he has shining blue eyes calm as a lakes surface, long white hair streams down his back and blows freely in the wind. He wears no clothing other then a pair of bracers. He is an excellent marksman with the bow and is also well trained in use of the spear. He enjoys giving people rides on his back and prefers wide open spaces.
  
  His possessions consist of a white bow, a right silver arm bracer with gold runes inscribed on it and a bag containing simple supplies and general survival items.

• Biography

  Garric never knew his parents nor did he ever truly know what he was until later in his life, he was found on the doorstep of a human monastery, the monks there took pity on him and raised him, as he grew he learned to hunt with bow and spear and as he became better he started to prepare the extra meat from his hunts and started to make trips to a near by furr town to sell the meat, by the time he was 18 he had enough gold to finally purchase travel with a merchant caravan going to one of the major citys, he yearned to see the world outside of the monastery.
  
  Several days into the trip the caravan was attacked by raiders the merchant guards were out numbered only by a little, as they charged Garric grabbed his bow and started to pick them off one by one as they ran in. Once the guards engaged the raiders he fell back and continued to fire off arrows when ever he got a clear shot, the back of the caravan seemed to be the least guarded and four raiders were closing in on the human family that were there, they had two guards but they were struck down by them, seeing this Garric raced as fast as he could to save them, he got to the first raider and caught him off guard rearing up and kicking him down with his front hoofs at the same time hitting another with an arrow, the last two started to back away to face him, grabbing his spear he charged at the first raider and hitting his mark the other tried to slash at him with his sword but Garric narrowly dodged it and hit him with the shaft end of the spear knocking him unconscious. Soon after that the rest of the guards drove off the raiders that were left, the family thanked him greatly and after learning that he had no plans once he got to the city they asked if he would accompany them to their home saying it was the least they could do for him after he saved them, having no better plans he agreed. As they traveled he told them of his past and how he sought to see the world and maybe even find if his parents were alive and who they were, the youngest son took a great liking to him and continually asked him to ride on his back, the boys parents had never seen their son so happy as when his was riding with Garric and had decided to ask a service of Garric once they returned home.
  
  It was the pitch of night when they arrived at the city and Garric thought it odd that they didn't go through the main gates with the rest of the caravan, apparently they had a different entrance that led straight to their home, once they were through the gates he was shocked to find they were at the castle, he looked to the family they must be servants that were sent to do trading he thought, a lot of whispering was going on between the father and a guard but he was to far away to pick up anything that was said, soon the family was led away by a guard while another led to a room that was quickly prepared for him, as they walked through the corridor he talked with the guard "Is it alright for me to be staying here? i don't want the lord or lady of this castle to be angry at me or the servants i came here with" the guard let out a slight chuckle and opened the door to his room "don't worry friend the lord and lady will be wanting to thank you personally in the morning for your service to them"
  
  Morning came quickly and Garric was summoned to the throne room before he could even have breakfast, as the doors swung open there on the throne sat the the family he had saved, they told him that once a year they sneak out of the palace and travel to the small towns as a holiday, if that wasn't enough of a shock for him what came next certainly was, they asked him to become a royal guard to the prince and help tutor him, since having already built a friendship with the prince on the trip there he gladly accepted their offer and by that afternoon his was officially dubbed a royal guard.
  
  Several more years passed and the prince himself was now a rather good marksman with the help of Garric and they went for rides daily, Garric would carry the young prince on his back and run like the wind through the fields. But one day as they were about to return to the castle bandits attacked him intent on kidnapping the prince, he carried the prince to a nearby forest and headed for the castle as fast as he could but the bandits horses were faster and quickly gained on him, there was only one choice. He put the prince down "you must run my prince, run as fast as you can and don't look back, i will catch up to you as soon as i can" although not wanting to leave his friend the prince knew that this was what must be done and giving Garric a quick hug before turning and running towards the castle. Garric turned to face the bandits drawing his bow he took down the first two that came through the trees leaving only two left, realizing that they would not be able to get the prince now they changed their sights to garric and quickly rode in separate directions disappearing into the trees, holding his spear at the ready he looked and listened carefully, hearing a sound he quickly turned to face it only to come face to face with one of the bandits horses and from behind him the two bandits ran at him one threw a net over him causing garric to trip and the other quickly ran up to him and soundly hit him over the head with a club sending him into darkness.
  
  
  When he awoke he found himself in the slave pens his hands and legs chained together, he only hoped that the prince made it to the castle safe.
  
  Years passed and not even one slaver had brought him out, the guards realizing he was being more costly then profitable finally let him go, he spent the next year earning coin in order to buy back his possessions from the guards and once again now proudly carry's his things, wandering the lands now searching for a new life.
