VampireGvidon can be set in a low-tech setting similar to TGT, and a modern-type setting. Although he is portrayed as a more modern character, his plots are individual but will follow a general path throughout.

History
The soviets experimented with various DNA strains and gene splicing. With the largest military at the time, their experiments were forced upon numerous enlisted soldiers in various branches. Although the goal was to enable their ground troops to destabilize an area much more quickly, the experiments were not a success. Often backfiring, many of the soldiers were put to rest or experienced traumatic brain injuries. Eventually they were able to match DNA sequences with various gene mutations, allowing better prognosis and fewer deaths.
Naturally combative, Gvidon matched the genotype for experimentation, and he spent a painful six months in treatment. His body chemistry was changed, his strength had increased. They interspliced a strain of DNA found in a caterpillar during metamorphosis, giving him the ability to change into a werewolf as long as he was equipped with the proper energy supply. The Soviets placed a transmitter that interacted with his parasympathetic nervous system, which was fed bursts of energy.
As he was dispatched to surrounding countries in order to create fear and hostility among neighbors, his loyalty to the communist party fell. His ability to shift was controlled only by military strategists, and he often found himself in a state between exhaustion and mania, not knowing when his next shift would take place.
During his guerrilla operation, he was relocated to the front lines of the Afghan war, where they had few allies and many enemies. He was given control over his ability, and he soon tried to integrate to the axis they fought against. It was a risky move, and he was kept as a prisoner of war for seven months until a Soviet battalion was able to locate their comrades and eliminate the guards.
After his rescue, he went rogue and sided with the opposing belligerents, using his training and experience to gain access to the battalion leaders. The leaders were dispatched, and his former squadron took him down. He was buried and left in a shallow grave.
At the end of the war, his grave was overturned in order to remove the forest for timber. Disrupting his grave activated the transmitter, bringing about a dire change in him, and he returned to life as a strigoi. Hellbent on getting vengeance with the military intelligence that stole his life, he blends into the background as best he can.
