    - Undead werewolf; a former servant to a necromancer. Was killed and raised during a full moon, permanently trapping him in wolf form.

    - Though the necromancer died centuries ago, Helphound remains under a magical compulsion to serve. With no master to focus his attentions on, his curse forces him to provide silent, cheerful assistance to anyone and everyone in need. Helphound is unable to refuse any order or request, with some caveats. See Helphound's Programming.

    - Has hints of a personality buried beneath his programming. Most common emotions expressed are curiosity, humor, and spite.

    - VERY well-preserved undead. Body is basically a taxidermy mount puppeteered by dark magic. Smells like salt, vinegar, and musty fur. Hide is coarse and oily on the outside, soft and leathery on the inside. Eyes are colored glass. Too much moisture can restart the rotting process.

    - Has no blood or internal organs. Cannot speak, eat, etc. Can communicate with simple gesture and sign.

    - Supernaturally strong. The only limit to his strength is how much force he can exert without physically breaking his bones.

    - Immortal unless completely destroyed. Damaged body parts can be repaired or replaced. Separated body parts act independently of each other.

    - Seven feet tall.

    - Corner of his mouth has been stitched high on his cheek. Physically unable to stop smiling.

    - Can spread lycanthropy.

    - Tail is broken in two places.

    - Will smile and scrabble slowly by and drive you so insane.



    Helphound's Programming

    - Helphound's most recent order takes precedence over all previous orders. Helphound cannot be ordered to obey one person permanently, or to work on one task forever. He will wander away with the next person who asks him to do something.

    - Helphound disregards orders that are plainly impossible, or contradict his programming.

    - Helphound possesses a self-preservation override that allows him to disregard orders explicitly telling him to destroy himself. While his former master undoubtedly built a killswitch somewhere into his design, accessing it isn't as easy as asking.

    - Helphound is permitted to interpret requests creatively.


    Note: Helphound is not available for long-term plot involvement. I never know how much time and motivation I'll have for RP, so I don't want him to get locked into a storyline where my absence might disrupt other peoples' RP. This doesn't mean he can't form meaningful relationships, interact with the same character multiple times, or affect other peoples' stories - it's just his nature to wander in and out of peoples' lives rather than sticking around for extended periods.
