A PURE SOUL

[ GUARDIAN SPIRIT OF LAND ] The Yellow Lion is piloted by the team’s most trusted mechanic, Hunk. This lion is fortified with superior armor and battlements. It is the strongest and most blast-resistant of all the lions. Although this Lion seems like a gentle giant, when duty calls it will always rise to the occasion and do whatever it takes to protect its team.

ABILITIES
VOLTRON'S CANNON - When combined with the bayard wielded by Hunk, the Yellow Lion can summon a large, shoulder-mounted cannon for Voltron to make use of. It can also be summoned when not a part of Voltron, manifesting itself on the Lion's back.

LION ARMOUR - Using the Lion's natural affinity for land, extra armour can be called upon, allowing access to much larger, tougher claws as well as a booster pack increasing both strength and maneuverability. The claws also allow for better stability on crumbling or otherwise unstable surfaces.

BURROWING - When necessary, the Yellow Lion can even claw through solid rock. Such an ability can be used for escape or other, more strategic purposes. Not utilized very often.

CLOAK - Light is bent around the Lion to make it invisible and undetectable to most surveillance systems. Not a natural ability by any means, it was recently added after originally only being developed and used on the Green Lion.

WEAPONS
CLAWS - Sharp claws tough enough to damage the armoured hulls of Galra warships.

TAIL LASER - Ranged weapon with mediocre damage output.

MOUTH CANNON - Ranged weapon with great damage output.

JAW BLADES - Melee weapon primarily used to rip through targets. Can also be thrown like a boomerang for improved range.

WEAKNESSES
SPEED - The Yellow Lion is neither agile nor a speedster, and is noticeably slower compared to the other lions.

WATER - Being submerged in water slows its movement even further and leaves it incredibly vulnerable to attack. Not the greatest at swimming.

[ PALADIN OF VOLTRON ] "The Yellow Lion is caring and kind. Its pilot is one who puts the needs of others above his own. His heart must be mighty. As the leg of Voltron, you will lift the team up and hold them together." Hunk fits the criteria perfectly, and even emulates the Yellow Lion in certain respects. Though he is a gentle giant at heart, he will not hesitate to come forward and protect those he loves in even the most dire of circumstances.

ABILITIES
ENGINEERING - Hunk is incredibly skilled as an engineer, having fashioned a device capable of reading Fraunhofer lines in order to find the Blue Lion very early on in his adventure. His technical know-how rivals even that of Pidge's, even if he prefers working with hardware. His expertise combined with his already great intelligence allows him to figure out the inner workings of machinery by just tampering with it, allowing him to understand the inner workings of various spacecraft and be able to repair it. This ability also comes in use when he has to hotwire various pieces of alien tech in order to bypass obstacles.

COOKING - A powerful skill of his that has helped his team in plenty of situations. He's certainly got a talent for it, able to make tasty dishes out of even the most bizarre of ingredients, be they from Earth or places unknown. This ability can and has been used in tandem with diplomatic efforts, strengthening ties between Team Voltron and other allies. His meals even pep up the team!

WEAPONS
BAYARD - When called upon, Hunk's bayard takes on the form of a portable, plasma-firing cannon capable of firing many powerful shots within a short amount of time. In a pinch, he can also use it to manifest twin turrets to help provide cover and offer additional fire.

BRUTE STRENGTH - While he prefers distance between himself and his target, he's no slouch when it comes to close combat either. Much like how he attacks with his lion, he makes use of his size and strength to overpower, immobilize, or even block the target, giving the rest of the team more time to take care of other or more important threats. Downsides include potentially leaving himself open to attack and being knocked off-balance. Only uses this when there's no other choice.

WEAKNESSES
SPEED - Hunk is not very quick on his feet and can actually be pretty clumsy. He's also prone to tiring out if he has to flee on foot too often, thus slowing him down even further.

ANXIETY - He's a real anxious fella. He can usually get himself out of it if pushed enough, but there are definitely times where panic may take the wheel and render him incapable to act. Getting support from his friends can help snap him out of it quicker, but this isn't always a guarantee depending on how far down the rabbit hole he is, so to speak.

ACROPHOBIA - An irrational fear of heights. While Hunk is still very much afraid of them, he's not too worried about it while inside the confines of his lion or other spacecraft. He's most susceptible when he's outside of his lion, or if he's about to crash very badly.
