Keegan Bartholomew Musgrave is a one of a kind personality, which is one that you either love or one you hate. Growing up the way she did, and going through the things she has, she has developed a safety net in the form of humour and a snarky attitude. When people get close to subjects she doesn't like, or she is in a particularly bad mood, she changes the subject almost instantly, with some sort of humours comment or teasing the person who went in on the subject. It's very limited to whom she actually opens up to, and not even those people are some she opens up to completely.
She is to used to keeping to her own, to not ever opening up completely to anyone. And that may be how things will always be, no matter what changes or who comes into her life. Keegan as a child was completely different from the way she is now. She was a vibrant child, with so many beautiful sides to her personality even as a young child. Never being one to turn down the other kids, even though she was wildly popular because of her name, she had a habit of leaning towards the more crooked kids. The ones who stood in the background, and never said much.
She was loved by almost anyone, even her teachers and her parents friends. Spontaneous, vibrant and sunny she was a child unlike any other, and she had all the world laid out in front of her. However, when that changed she was left with a growing darkness inside of her, she didn't know how to react to. This darkness was like an empty black hole, slowly swallowing her up and changing her into something she wasn't and never would be. Someone darker. And slowly over time, with the help of her choice of profession, she had difficulties actually finding out who she was, and what she wanted from life. Taking on new personalities, because of her con-life, she struggled finding the real Keegan underneath it all. But because of her con-life she became extremely good at lying, and understanding how people work. It helped her understanding the basic needs and wants of other people, and being exactly what they wanted in life. In manner of seconds she could be the dream girl of whichever man (or woman) she wanted.
But after a world wind relationship with another con-man, she found herself struggling to find love or actually believing it was something for her. Her first love, and then man she believed was the one for a long time, decided to stab her in the back. It was a hard blow, and for the second time in life a person she fully trusted broke that trust and it made her issues of trusting and leaning into other people, even harder. It has left serious scars on her, and even today she doesn't know how to open up to the people she loves the most, because deep inside of her there is the fear that somehow they are going to break her trust, to stab her in the back and leave her behind. And she cannot bear to go through that one more time. First time was enough.
Keegan as a meta human is extremely dangerous, simply because of the fact that she control the darkness of the world. Even though she hasn't unlocked her full potential, she is capable of doing horrible things, and out doing most other meta-humans, simply because she has advantages in her darkness. However, there are disadvantages to her powers. Unlike normal human beings suffering from depression, which is something they can get over a live through, Keegans abilities take over in her state of unhappiness. If she isn't careful, and aware of it, her darkness can swallow her up and leave her completely void. This is also one of the reasons, that in times of making great decisions, she oftens makes a horrible mistake and screwing things up - because she doesn't see another way out, than self-destruction. This is also a hint to her not being the best at handling very very stressful situations for her (such as situations where she is in fear of losing a loved one) - because she handles the situation with panic, and ultimately self-destructs herself in the process. Keegans powers are all related to the darkness, whether its nightfall, dark corners or shadows crawling around, it's where her powers come from.
Keegan is categorized as a level 5 meta-human, which is the highest level, because of her capability of covering the world in eternal darkness, as well her ability to travel into her own pocket world, as place only she can enter, and is made up entirely of her own fantasy. However, because of her abilities having a root in something dark and mysterious and essentially evil, it also highly affect the way she thinks and acts at times. In many ways you can say she is always fighting an eternal battle about balancing out the evil within her, with the good.

"Metahuman" is a term coined by the regular humans, and used to describe any human being with what are commonly described as "super powers".
The prefix meta-, in this context, simply means "beyond"—as in metastable, which is "beyond regular stability; ready to collapse at the slightest disruption", or metamorphosis, which is "the state of going beyond a single shape". So, "metahuman" simply describes persons and/or abilities beyond normal human limits.
Keegan is a categorized level 5 metahuman, which is the highest level of metahuman one can be. As she quite litterally could screw up the order of the world with her abilities, she has been blacklisted by the us government and is one of the metahumans at the top of needing to be captured. She once caused the biggest blackout in us history, when she was a child. However, due to her being at the hands of her fathers experiments, she is very much in control of her abilities now - and knows her way around them better than majority of metahumans will ever learn in their life.

- Keegan is capable of blanken an entire city, country or world in eternal darkness, meaning she can remove all light in any way permanently from a place.
- She can create/generate/increase, absorb, shape and manipulate darkness/shadow for various effects, sizes, shapes and intensity levels. This is very similar to Green Lantern from DC Comics, who is capable of manifesting his green light and make it into deadly weapons.
- She has the power to absorb light and utilize them in some way. In her case she absorb lights in any room she enters, and even though she hasn't figured this out yet, she is also capable of absorbing the sun itself, however this will most likely kill her if she absorb it all.
- She has the power to become invisible while in shadows, though she has not figured out she can do this in the daylight as well. So far she is only capable of doing it at nighttime.
- She has darkness Adaption (Night vision), meaning she can see as clearly at nighttime as she can in daylight.
- She has the ability to release/use darkness/shadow to various attacks. She has not discovered yet that she can do this in daylight as well.
- She is capapble of animating/manipulate darkness/shadow, whether users own or cast by anything else. She has not learned to use this ability yet, but it basically means that she can manipulate her own or the people around hers shadows for her own good.
- She can make tentacles/tendrils, chains and/or threads to attack or bind.
- She has the ability to control the targets movements via shadows, this is very similar to telekinese but the difference is that she can only do this when her target is in the shadow. (*She has yet to discover this ability)
- She can create a 'darkness portal' that is connected to a realm called 'The shadow realm' - a realm that is limited to darkness manipulators, and is more or less a giant blackhole. The portals she can create makes her capable of opening an entrance anywhere in the world and travel there.
- She is capable of storing things and people in the shadow realm, as well as herself. However being in this place for too long has side effects on living beings.
- She can surround herself in darkness and shadows, and thus becoming invisible in the night hours.
- She is a powerful woman in general, but she is damn near impossible to beat during night hours. She draws her strength from the darkness, and thus when night falls she becomes more powerful. You do not wanna pick a fight with her in those hours.
- She heels at night, which also means that she ages slower than most people as her healing ability also takes care of the aging process. During daytime she is at risk just like anyone else.
- She can hide in the shadows. (*Has yet to be discovered)
- She can create, shape and manipulate dark energy, usually drawn from inter-dimensional or other similar sources. It can be channeled to a variety of effects as an absence of light, a solid, gaseous and/or liquid substance that can be shaped/manifested in various ways.
- She can control the primal darkness that has existed before creation, and represents the darker aspect of primal creation alongside the Light, both being two halves of the same coin, yet stand opposite. Due to its primordial nature it goes beyond concepts of good, evil or even neutrality.
- She can manipulate the esoteric side of the darkness/shadow, with special properties and a mystical nature to it. With mastery, the wielder could use the esoteric element for a variety of magical effects.
- She is made up of or can transform their body completely into shadows. Her transformed form can be either anatomically identical to their normal form, aside of being made of shadow, in which case it contains all organs and is somewhat vulnerable to attacks. Alternately she can transform into homogenous matter, without any part of their form being more important than the other.
- she can heal themselves or others by using darkness. In Keegans case, she only heals to an extant meaning that unlike Mikhail who doesn't leave a scar, her scars stays. This means that she has several scars throughout her body. Another good thing to know, is that she is unable to heal from a fatal wound.
- She can induce temporary or permanent blindness in other beings and greatly hinder opponents by taking away one of their most important sensory abilities.
- She can release and surround themselves in/with darkness/shadow for defensive and/or offensive purposes, possibly becoming almost untouchable. The aura may also give her enhanced physical capabilities such as speed, strength and durability.
- She can project darkness/shadows in a way that allows them to cut through matter from a distance. Although this attack does usually slashing damage, some users are able to focus it into single piercing stab like immaterial bullet.
- She can create portals using darkness/shadows. These portals can also lead to a world of emptiness/darkness.
- She takes control over motor functions of others against their will as if they were a marionette via shadows, subjects are still conscious, but can’t resist the user's puppet control. This can be executed by infusing ones shadow into the shadow of the target, physical contact, or simply having shadows touch.
Those marked with * is powers she has yet to discover. She believes she is useless in daylight, but this is not the truth. Sooner or later, she will discover she can use the shadows of people, things and everything else the sun casts a shadow on.
