• At a Glance

  This section is included as a sort of brief, overall reference only. I tried to include only what you (your) character would be able to observe on their own, as well as what they might be able to glean from Kila's appearance and behavior.
  I do request that you avoid using your meta knowledge (player-known, character-unknown facts) in RP, unless your character actually does reasonably figure that stuff out for themselves.

  Appearance
  The minotaur stands tall, looming over most at a height of nearly eight feet, and bearing a strong physique to complement such stature. Powerful, rippling muscles rise and fall under a charcoal black pelt, short hairs reminiscent of a horse's hide. Numerous pale pink scars criss-cross over her body in various places, some left by conventional blades, while others were left by more unusual weapons (perhaps recognizeable by other veteran warriors). Most notable of these is a ropy, wide slash from her right brow to the opposite jawline; after less than a finger's breadth of unmarked skin, another thick, meandering line resumes along the left side of her throat. That trail of agony stops at her collarbone, and if her clothing does not cover the area, an uneven, oblong patch of scar tissue can be seen ending the long line.
  
  Marred features do little to soften a permanently stern expression, unsmiling mouth and piercing eyes conveying a sense of judgment and evalutaion. If anything would catch one's attention, it would be those eyes. Shocking white-blue irises rest in a sea of blue-black; pupils only a shade darker than the pale blue discs they rest on give her a very eerie look. More than that, a light aura, much like smoke, continuously trails from the corners of her eyes. The effect is usually subtle, but the amount of vapor seems to increase when she is angered. A pair of curved ivory horns originally rested atop her head like some terrible crown, but at some time in her past, the right prong was broken off just over halfway. Oil-black, wavy hair hangs nearly to her waist, normally parted to one side and styled minimally. On rare occasions, it might be tied back in a braid or a single, high tail.
  
  Her voice is as still and chilly as the rest of her, yet somehow seems to have a life of its own. Deep and rumbling, her tones are always tempered with a touch of femininity...yet at the same time, her voice is somewhat metallic, and sounds as if it could belong to someone else entirely. True, you sort of get used to it after awhile, but if her voice ever shows any sort of emotion at all, it'd probably be best to keep your distance. Her words are generally lengthy and formal, in such a way that she could say something simple in a very long and roundabout sort of way. At the same time, she often doesn't understand slang terms, or terms from local dialects; though she speaks expertly, she talks like someone who learned how to speak the language from a book.
  
  Personality
  Right off, one would likely notice the very curt, ceremonial way in which she carries herself. Even out of armor, it would be easy to identify her as current or even ex-military. Whether she approves or disapproves of someone is nearly impossible to tell, for her bearing toward either is exactly the same. Always sticking to a somewhat dated attitude of courtesy and chivalry, she could be seen as a knight of some old order. Whether she is, or was, part of such an order is anyone's guess, for she does not reveal details about herself so openly.
  
  Attire
  Rough as her physical appearance is, her clothing is generally in good repair, even if happens to be secondhand or old. Everyday wear consists almost exclusively of leather, occasionally with chainmail accents. It seems that weather has only a limited impact on her choice of oufits as well, for she can be seen wearing as little as a cropped leather vest and loincloth in the snow. Such appearances are not the result of vanity, however. A background in gladiatorial ring-fighting left its impression, the fighters of her particular culture and style wearing only a few articles of leather clothing while in the pit. Minimal protection and maximum danger were just a few of many factors contributing to a good show.
  
  Her heavy hoofsteps are made that much louder by their own curious accents. A pair of odd, custom-made 'horse shoes' are permanently nailed to each half of her cloven hooves, made of bright and silvery metal. The bottom of these are stamped with an artistic, intricate weave of flowers and vines inerspersed with short spikes to give her added traction.
  
  Just as often as she wears plain, serviceable leathers, the minotaur can be found donning a massive suit of heavy plate. Crafted from an ore unique to her land of origin, the black plate is easily the most elaborate attire that she owns. Pauldrons shaped into snarling, grotesque faces; a molded breastplate bearing a face of its own; large, carefully lapped plate scales on the arms and legs; and a helm giving her a visage akin to Death itself. When paired with her size and height, the armored minotaur becomes a creature stepped out of a nightmare. Perhaps because of this frightening impression, Kilazanu normally clothes herself in regular leathers. Of course, it could also be for other reasons entirely.
  
  Accessories
  The minotaur rarely embellishes anything, choosing simplicity and function over fashion and frippery. She does, however, usually carry a few 'extraneous' objects.
  Both of her ears are pierced , the lower edges bearing a single silver-toned spiral which passes through two separate pierced holes on each ear.
  
  Around her neck hangs a pendant on a leather string, the wooden disc inscribed with the burnt sigil of a bear's paw. The string is decorated with a few colorful glass beads, along with fewer feathers which are drably colored by comparison. More often than not, this pendant is kept inside her shirt and out of sight.
  
  Weapons and Gear
  Curiously enough, Kilazanu is rarely seen carrying weapons. By no means does this imply that she is defenseless; many could attest to this fact, given you have a necromancer handy. Being a former gladiator has given her many and varied weapon skills, from one- to two-handed weapons, shields, and spears, along with more exotic weapons such as flails, maces, and the classic gladiator combo, the net and trident. In a pinch she could even pick up an unfamiliar weapon and wield it with passive skill, though a prolonged fight would undoubtedly show her lack of familiarity with it.
  
  Magic and Other Skills
  Those sensitive to magic will notice a certain uneasy feeling around the minotaur, highly unusual for one of her race. Certain magical occurrences tend to manifest on their own (such as her unnatural eyes, a constant frigid aura, breath clouds in warm environs, etc.), but aside from these, Kila never makes any mention of them. Her skill in arms, of course, speaks for itself.
