Leonidas TG

Leonidas The Great was similar to a Barbary lion with typical coloring a near perfect example of a very large male lion with the exception of some unusual marking around his neck and a strange symbol on his rear flank. Only thing civilized about him is his advance lion pride hierarchy. His unique skills, intelligence and insight allowed him to structure his family or pride into the main unit with four sub prides.
When his daughters and other females needed mates he would find suitable males that he would test both in battle and in intelligence then he would set up a sub pride assigning the selected female to these sub males for breading and protection. All were under his rule, command and guidance this created a very large and powerful group of lions. Leonidas coordinated the hunting grounds / territories and even what species were hunted and which were protected. Young and females caring for young were discouraged unless necessary. Young pray species were even protected almost as if he was a rancher protecting the young and mothers to produce a sustainable food source.
The four sub pride roamed in an unusual counter clockwise pattern with his main pride at the center. When large pray were needed or became a threat like an elephant size meal part or all would come together to bring it down.
To them you were part of the family, a threat, food or of no interest. Humans most times fell into the threat and low grade food category with a few exceptions.
The few homes or small villages of humans and other creatures were off limits and avoided if at all possible unless one posed a threat. Only newcomers and young children were foolish enough to wonder beyond the understood boundaries. In a strange way they are also protected by the pride and are allowed to hunt and farm.
For the young ones that did make this mistake most if found in time were returned most times in a dramatic way sometimes after spending a few days with the pride. It was a powerful display to have 6 or more lions show up surrounding your village and Leonidas waling in with a small child in his maw to be place in its mother arms and her to receive a swat on the ass from him. Older children were sometimes returned riding on his back and a few even told stories of being nursed by the lionesses.
Everyone knew who was king of this land and respected it.
There were a few exceptions made because he sensed and understood the older human or humanoid like species was at no fault perhaps lost or was fleeing to save their life. This raillery happened because of the remoteness of the lands and the extreme difficulty of reaching it.
Tow human females and some others over the years were saved by him the humans one a very dark or blacked skinned female and another was a white skinned blond female. The fact they were so different from others made Leonidas very curious.
Both got to spend several seasons with him and the main pride before they were helped to find their way home. It took that long for the moments of the pride to bring them back close enough. Both never told others the true story of what happened and both had a hidden desire to return to the lion king but knew that was impossible. It goes with saying they received the same treatment his other females did in just about every way.
Leonidas's territory ranging some 400+ miles and was well controlled and managed by the king lion.

For Leonidas I perfume to RP in times before modern tools say 1700s but willing to try any time period.
The land he lives in is not on earth and the villages only have primitive tools. The western parts had old abandoned cites similar to Rome with running water, farm lands and some functional structures. Most of the places were inhabited by humanoid like creatures and a few had humans. Two of the nicer and more remote places were Leonidas's.

I have not work out how humans and humanoids got there but with some good luck during some RPs this could be discovered.
