F L I G H T - Small, downy-coated wings grew from his shoulder-blades when he was only weeks old, an unusual ability passed down from avian ancestors, no doubt. He is able to harness them to fly short distances, but becomes fatigued with frequent use.
M O O N - Considering Lupin's to be a bad omen, the aging shaman of his birth pack had forced Lupin to undergo a shapeshifting spell that would nagically remove the wings. Unfortunately for the young cub, a combination of illness and a rumored senility left the shaman with unstable magics. The wolf was left with the ability to become a true wolf, though not as the shaman intended - upon the half-moon, Lupin would transform into a temporary "feral" wolf form, and as the moon shifted to its waxing gibbous phase, so too would Remus shift back into his natural anthropomorphic form. The unstable nature of the spell left another nasty side effect. In his "feral" wolf form, Lupin is left with a noticeably subpar level of intelligence when compared to his usual form, acting more on senses and instinct rather than thought.
