  • About Gypsies

    There is a very wide misconception about gypsies. They are often called witches, beggars and even thieves. This is not true. They are said to have been christian nobles that originated in egypt, the became nomads, leaving behind all their material possessions to seek out other places to worship. These families seperated and several different groups moved to different countries. There are several different places that gypsies are from. Hungary, France, Italy, Finland, Greece and even Germany.

    Lydiah was born in Hungary and is very proficient in natural herbal remedies. She does not charge for her services because it is viewed as bad luck. Tribal tradition makes it so she offers her services free of charge, helping others is enough payment. Herbs, cereals, vegetables, fruit barks, simples of every kind are the remedies, the salves which God has sent to the Romany to heal his ills. It is for us to use them, to neglect nature`s cures is to turn away our greatest treasure.

    Lydiah does have a crystal ball and she does carry tarot cards. It is her belief that anyone can learn to read the cards, but the crystal ball is something that takes someone really gifted to read. Even she has a hard time with what it tells her.
