Childhood:
Maggie had a happy childhood running nearly wild in the forests of Southern Katharos. She started archery practice with a tiny recurve bow and blunted sticks when she was eight, and moved up from there to the excellent shot she is now. Maggie rarely had want for anything, because she learned to be content quickly. She loved the garden of wildflowers she helped her mother start.

Teenage Years:
Maggie was less wild as a teen, but not by much. She learned to hone her skills in different ways, and she also learned how to wield a sword.

Adulthood:
Tragedy struck for the first time when Maggie reached adulthood. Her brother was killed by a wild boar. Maggie felt the pull of wanderlust for the first time in the months following his death, but it's taken more than twelve years to convince Mayne to go with her. In the years since her “growing up” ceremony, she’s been an invaluable leader to the Forest Guard, defending and protecting the herd from hunters and other dangers. She hasn’t married just because she’s so dedicated to her job that it would be unfair to anyone she loved to be away from them so much. It’s a personal choice, but she likes to mentor younger centaurs too.
