• Appearance

  Merir, despite the pretty face, was a quite intimidating and imposing person. Merir had long silver hair that shimmered in the sunlight and sky blue eyes that seemed to look deep into a persons soul and if that wasn't enough to determine his race, his pointed ears were a tell-tale sign of his elven heritage. Merir wore elegant leather armour with graceful curved plates stamped with leaf borders. Each plate smoothly curved around his waist and The front and back laced together with leather straps and antique brass buckles. Joined to the cuirass by buckles were two tassets either side sculpted into the shape of leaves. The shoulder guards were made up of three segments riveted together for extra protection. Merir's bracers were made up of two layers joined together by stamped leaf emblems with a third piece providing protection to the back of his hand while leaving his fingers free. Merir's lower clothing were made up of leather leggings and thick leather boots made for protection. It was obvious he was a soldier of some kind by the Elven sword attached to his waist and the bow on his back.

• Personality

  Merir is generally quite whimsical and enjoys a lot of subtle humour. He is very good with his words and can often either trick people into giving him information, or convince them to. Merir is usually very lackadasical and takes everything in his stride, as most of his race do. He intends to get revenge on the spirits who killed his wife, but he is calculated and careful about how he does so. Merir is very patient and often plans carefully any action with devious scrutiny. Merir finds impatience a humourous trait in other races as it is unknown to his race due to their long life span, although if the need calls for it, such as in battle, he can react quick.
  Merir is an intelligent person and usually quite a happy and relaxed person, but he harbors many dark emotions to do with his wifes death.
  Merir is a very artistic and spiritual Sidhe, often enjoying creating music and art.
  Merir was originally a kind and generous person, but since his wife died, he stopped seeing the point in being kind, often acting negatively and not handling his anger very well. He is quite closed off and tries to close him off from others, unlike most other Sidhe and he tends to not let people get close to him right away.

• History

  Merir was born in an icy city called Fallen Peaks situated in the upper arctic lands. In the city there was a need for a powerful military and that called for trained soldiers. Merir grew up around the military and took a very romanticised view of the military, aspiring to be a soldier one day. He started training from a young age and the moment he became old enough to join the miltary he enlisted.
  
  He spent eighty years in the military and he ended up having quite a happy life, getting married and rising up the ranks to become a general of the army. He was quite happy until his city was attacked by demonic spirits. His city was destroyed and his wife killed. Merir vowed revenge.
  
  Years before Merir had been invited to join the Spiritwalkers, but had refused as he wanted to stay in the city with his wife. Now his city was destroyed, lying in ruins and his reason for staying no longer existed. He decided to join the Spiritwalkers in order to exact his revenge against the spirits who took his wife and his city from him.
  
  Merir was trained extensively in ways to fight the spirits and ways to break the curses, charms and other enchantments put in place by evil. After his training, he underwent a ritual that bound a dead spirit walker's spirit to him. This gave him unique ghostly abilities and the ability to see into the spirit realm and even step into it himself. Merir began to exist in both the spirit realm and the living realm at the same time, meaning he could interact with spirits as though they were corporeal and see them too.

• Tarril Elge

  Although most Sidhe prefer to not fight, most are proficient at combat, magical or otherwise. Tarril Elge is the most widely taught martial art amongst the Sidhe, reflecting their general demeanor in the movements of the combat style.
  
  Tarril Elge uses flowing movements to defeat their enemies, taking advantage of the distinct differences between the regular humanoid physiology and the Sidhe physiology. Most martial arts response to a punch is to block or dodge the punch and then punch the opponent back whereas a Tarril Elge practictioner's response would be to trap and break the opponents wrist, followed by an open palm strike to the face.
  
  Tarril Elge has similarities between Kung Fu, Jeet Kune Do and Aikido. Most people who observe the martial art liken it to a dance rather than a fight, with elegant flowing movements and general effortless techniques.

• Winter Sidhe Traits

  Winter Sidhe Rarely feel the effects of alcohol, most not having any effect on them at all, but there are the odd types of Elven alcohol that has an effect on them.
  Can see better in the dark than a human. If there is more light than starlight or moonlight, then this vision will not function at all, meaning that he will see just like a human. Once there is no light, it takes some time for the eyes to adjust enough to be able to see in the dark.
  Instead of sleeping, Winter Sidhe meditate usually, although sometimes they will indulge themselves with sleeping like a human.
  Can withstand temperatures up to 100°F and as low as 32°F. They do not sweat or feel much uncomfortableness due to the temperatures, but if they get too low or too high temperature, they will suffer negative effects due to it. This does not extend to fire or ice, just the general environment.
  They are quite resistant to regular diseases and ailments, but there are some diseases that affect just Sidhe or Elves.
  Scars (not wounds) heal quicker than most other people, fading to next to nothing, meaning that most Winter Sidhe will either not have any scars, or the scars will only be visible if the person is trying to find the scar.
  Will live till about 1000
  Winter Sidhe eat small amounts of food as they do not require as much as a human.
  Most Sidhe have a very delicate palette and are often good at cooking, although not all pursue cooking as a skill.
  Winter Sidhe hear a different sound range to humans, where humans are capable of hearing 400 to 20,000 hertz, elves hear between 1000 and 30,000 hertz.
  Winter Sidhe have an unusual trait where they are less noticeable if they want to be less noticeable, but this does not mean they can go invisible or be totally unnoticeable, it just means that people are less likely to notice them if they're in a crowd, etc.
  Winter Sidhe much like their trait to become less noticeable, they have a trait where they can become more imposing if they wish, often to intimidate their foes. This makes them seem tougher and more imposing than they actually are.
  Winter Sidhe are very light footed. They can walk on deep snow without making too much of an indent. This makes them good at moving fast and good at being stealthy.
